I love this little pooch...my BFF Linda bought this Avery Elle Stamp set for me for Christmas.
She has been with me plenty when I keep admiring it, picking it up and putting it back!!
So thanks friend for giving this to me!  I love it!

CASology # 143 OMBRE

I love the Ombre look on cards and that is the challenge for
CASology this week.
I had the PTI Monthly Moments Journal Card #5 laying on my desk and thought I would use it!  so I sponged on some distress inks:  peacock feathers, salty ocean and chipped sapphire.  A layered a piece of lemon tart paper behind it to give the illusion of a starlit night!
The sweet elephant is from WPlus9:Unforgettable and the sentiment was a free stamp from Lawn Fawn, received with an order...I thought that was appropriate and thinking it sure would be a BIG hug, coming from an elephant!!  *wink
Thanks for taking a look!

CASology ~ Spring

So many wonderful blossoms appear to show signs of spring.  One of my favorite here in the Pacific Northwest is the blossom of the Dogwood Trees.  I think I really prefer the white blossoms against the beautiful green foliage, but I have a pink Dogwood in the yard, actually it is in my daughter's yard now since they live in that house.  The tree was given to my husband's grandmother, Nana, when she was living with us back in the early 80's.  She was a very special lady and we were blessed to have her live with us for several years before passing away.  Our daughters had a wonderful relationship with their great-grandma!
This card is for the

Two Challenges ~ One Card

I am seriously in need of comfort cards and sympathy cards for my bible study ladies, I can barely keep up with the demand!  Sad, isn't it?  Lucky for me there were two challenges that worked for this card.  The first is CAS ology:  Blossoms
The second is CAS(E) this Sketch # 114
I pulled out my favorite blossom stamp from Clearly Besotted:  Happy Everything and I white embossed it and used water with distress inks to paint in the petals and leaves!
I then used Lil' Inkers Stitched rectangles die and cut out the center portion and adhered it flat to the card base.  The frame was attached with dimensional tape to raise it up.

Thanks for taking a look...hope you all are having a fantastic St. Patrick's Day...hope y9ou didn't get "pinched" today!!

CAS-ology #109 Java

JAVA is the cue word for the new
Can you believe I am NOT a coffee drinker?
Tea, yes, Coffee, no!
This cup of "java" is from PTI's Scent-imentals stamp set.
I made it into a shaker card!
The pattern paper is a new pack I bought today,
Echo Park "Summer Bliss"
I finally had success with the shaker card because I used fun foam that was sticky on only the back side...therefore, my little sprinkles inside do NOT stick to the sides as it gets shaken!
Thanks for taking a look friends!

CASology # 99 ~ Anniversary

Since my daughter's 15th anniversary is coming up next Thursday, this prompted me to make an anniversary card for her! (Thinking she will want it...not for me to give to her and DH!)
The stamp set is from Li'l Inkers called: It's Today, Right?
I kind of fell in love with those little stick people,
I think I could maybe draw some like that!  *wink

and the inside...oh so sweet, they are kissing...

this is going to the  CASology Challenge and the cue word is
ANNIVERSARY.

So may great cards and ideas from the DT..go check it out!

PS..my daughter didn't select this one, she picked another one using this same set though...
it was a picture of the happy couple, he on his knees and the sentiment says:
BEST. MOVE. EVER.

Colleen

CASology # 75 CUE word ~ KNIT ~

I am still making a few more tags.
Since the cue word is "KNIT", I pulled out PTI's Knit Bits.
It just happens to have a stocking stamp!
Yeah! Isn't this what people used to hang on their fireplaces?
I am sure they didn't have fancy quilted stockings, I think it was their everyday stockings.
The branch is from Love Lives Here: Holiday as is the sentiment.

You still have time to play along, go to CASology HERE  and link up!

Thanks for taking the time to look, I know everyone is super busy, we are counting down the days...
I wish you all a very blessed and Merry Christmas.

CASology: HARVEST

I know this sounds crazy, but I love the shorter days and longer nights!  I love the wind and rain...maybe because then I don't have to feel guilty about being inside my craft room making things!!

This is some Recollections canvas that I picked up at Michael's quite awhile ago.  I stamped the pumpkins and actually colored lightly with copics.  It did bleed a little bit, but I like how it adds some depth to the pumpkin...I also did a little masking!  You can go HERE to play along with this challenge.
Inside the card

Stamps:  Lawn Fawn "So thankful for you"
Paper:  PTI Kraft, "fall, prints and patterns", orange zest pp
ink:  PTI dark chololate
twine:  May Arts
copics

The sun is peeking through the clouds, giving us a little ray of sunshine and hope!
10 minutes ago it was a storm...God is Good!

CASology ~ playing with GOLD!

Are you playing along with CASology this week?  the cue word is "gold"...you can go HERE to access the blog.  I stamped my flower with Encore ultimate metallic GOLD ink, I heat set it, then made a mask and stamped my leaves ...I used a stylist to add some veining to the simple leaf.  I cut out the sides and added a strip of PTI gold shimmer paper to the sides.  the sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp and is embossed with gold embossing powder.

CASology # 54 ~ GOLD

This week the CASology cue word is GOLD.  So I took a die from Memory box and die cut it three times and adhered each one to itself.  Then I rubbed versamark over it and embossed with gold embossing powder...I actually repeated that process a couple of times to give it a nice thick coating of gold.  Since I wanted this to be a sympathy card, I kept it really clean and simple...I embossed a strip with a Cuttlebug dot folder and adhered it to the face of the card, then added the "fresh daisies" die to it.  I embossed the sentiment with gold also...it is a Hero Arts sentiment.  You can access the CASology blog HERE.

Dynamic Duos # 50, Freshly Made Skteches and CASology: Care

Wow, can you believe I am going to try three challenges with one card?  I love it when it comes together like this!!
First up is Dynamic Duos  with the colors berry sorbet and angel pink, the sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches, and finally I am including this in the CASology: CARE Challenge.  Phew, I think that is it...

I took creative license with the sketch and just added a ribbon for the banner look.  I first stamped my sentiment and ribbon, then I added the hand drawn lines above and below.  After that I masked it off and starting stamping with an assortment of flowers in the colors for dynamic duos challenge.  I placed it all on a berry sorbet card.

Dynamic Duos # 50 pairs up with CASology: care

HERE is the link for Dynamic Duos, go check out the DT and their cool projects.  HERE at CASology it is all about "care"... care for you; I am here for you...you get the idea...

I combined the two and used a sentiment from Verve.

Paper:  Papertrey white, sweet blush pp
ink:  berry sorbet, memento angel pink, fine linen
stamps:  Happiness in Bloom, Verve

And I want to share with you that my daughter Dina had her PET scan and it came back NEGATIVE!!  NO sign of cancer anywhere!!  We put our trust and care in His hands, and HE answered our prayersWe are all on cloud nine, my daughter is just beaming...all the time!  And she is hatless/scarfless!!  Here is a pic of her and her 9 year old daughter who also shaved her head last October:
Thank you to the many many blogging friends ~ around the world ~  especially in the Netherlands who have continued to pray for her!
