Inspired by all the Little Things

I was inspired by the flowers and decided to have a group of tulips, I can hardly wait for mine to bloom, although it seems every year when they come up, we get heavy rains and the blooms are destroyed!  At least I can enjoy these blooms on paper!  *wink

CAS Mix-Up Card Challenge ~ April ~ Rubberbands

After watching Loll's video, I couldn't stop making these rubberband backgrounds!
This time I used a colored cardstock (PTI spring moss) and stamped my rubberbands using the same ink color.  It makes a fun background!  And I had requests for more "Praying for you" cards, and it has to say "our prayers" instead of "my" which makes it a little trickier!  I had to selectively stamp a sentiment that had prayers at the end, but I used a different stamp for the "you are in our", so it all worked!  Good thing I have my stamps in Evernote so that I could find those words!

Easy Ombre Resist Technique

Jennifer McGuire showed many cards using this technique and I wanted to give it a try.
I used a Hero Arts cling background stamp called Antique Brocade.
I white embossed it on white paper and then used Distress Ink: Abandoned Coral.  Starting at the bottom I saturated it pretty good with lots of color and then worked my way up using less of the ink on my blending tool.
The sentiment is also HA: Prayers.

Create along With Us ~ August

It is that time of the month where we play along with the designers from PTI instead of a Make It Monday card.  They are so busy giving us inspiration from the new release we get to choose one of their cards and CAS it , hence the Create along With Us!!

I chose Betsy's card here:
Blessed-who-mourn
Simliar layout, some of the same flowers, some different and of course a different sentiment, but I used the die and sponged on some color just like Betsy!
I have a cousin who has uterine cancer and I am thinking I will be sending her cards a lot to lift her spirit and to remind her that we are praying for her.
Thank you for stopping by friends!  Hope you are having a great week, it is getting ready to really heat up here in the PNW...by Friday and Saturday we are expecting triple digit numbers!  EEK!!  And we have to travel south a couple of hours and go to a wedding...that will be a HOT one and it is an outside wedding!!

30 Day coloring Challenge Day 5 & Addicted To CAS

Another quick card for the 30 Day Coloring Challenge.
colored the PTI Friendship Jar flowers with copics.
Also entering this in the Addicted to CAS Challenge which is add stripes to your card!

Tomorrow our whole family is going to Coeur d'Alene Idaho for a family vacation.
We have been going there for about 10 years.  The kids love playing in the lake and the big boys like to golf.  However...we have some fevers running through the family, including my husband!  EEK!!  Jalen came down with hand, foot and mouth disease from our Indianapolis trip, ran a fever and and then shared it with his 13 year old sister and now it appears they may have even given it to Papa and his cousin!!
We are scheduled to fly out tomorrow with two of the 6 grandkids...one of them just starting to get sick now...never a dull moment!!

I am going to bring my copics and hope I have a chance to do more coloring!!
So see you in about two weeks!!

Two Challenges ~ One Card

I am seriously in need of comfort cards and sympathy cards for my bible study ladies, I can barely keep up with the demand!  Sad, isn't it?  Lucky for me there were two challenges that worked for this card.  The first is CAS ology:  Blossoms
The second is CAS(E) this Sketch # 114
I pulled out my favorite blossom stamp from Clearly Besotted:  Happy Everything and I white embossed it and used water with distress inks to paint in the petals and leaves!
I then used Lil' Inkers Stitched rectangles die and cut out the center portion and adhered it flat to the card base.  The frame was attached with dimensional tape to raise it up.

Thanks for taking a look...hope you all are having a fantastic St. Patrick's Day...hope y9ou didn't get "pinched" today!!

The Challenge # 3 a second card

On my last post I mentioned prayers for JoAnn, she is on the Seize the Birthday design team with me, she is also on Dynamic Duos...she may be on others, she is so very talented.
She is in ICU with severe injuries, if you could please keep her and the family in prayers to help them get through these difficult days it would be so uplifting for them.
I will be sending her a prayer shawl and this card.

I mentioned that I love this sketch and Lesley gives the measurements for cutting the papers!
Love that!

Okay, back to knitting!
