Muse # 178

Tracey has a very sweet card over at the Muse Challenge Blog, I liked the simplicity of that one flower taking the highlight spot!
I pulled out Altenew's Magnolia for her stamp and lengthened the stem a bit and added a little bud to the stem.
I watercolored with zigs Clear Clean Brush pens.
Here is Tracey's Muse card:

Make It Monday ~ Reverse Stenciling

Boy does Betsy come up with unique ways to use stamps and stencils!
Today the MIM is about doing a reverse stencil on your card.  You can go HERE to watch Betsy's video!
I had my own stencil made from the Happy hexagon Cover Plate...only some of the hexagons did not cut out, but I thought that would look good and add some extra interest to the background.  I brayed on Spring Rain and Blueberry Sky.  and I added a strip of blueberry sky card stock at the top.
I die cut the word two times and added glossy accent on top.

stamps & dies: Bold Blossom, Big Hug

Thanks for stopping by friends!!

Copic Jumpstart Day 9

I am still practicing the Copic Jump Start class by Sandy Allnock.
This is a Digi from Tiddly Inks called Bloom Beautifully.
I used some new to me skin tones and hair!!  Sandy likes to use V15 for her shading of  hair, I tried it and kind of like it!! The hair was Y02 and Y17 plus the V15!
I also used a Uniball white pen to add some small dots to her dress.  I covered her shoes with Wink of Stella for shiny shoes!!
I also tried shading my little girl with a C1 and C3 copics

Sandy Allnock Copic Jumpstart Class

I am really learning a LOT in this class from Sandy Allnock.  You start at the very basics of coloring and she brings you through all the steps.  This was a little bear she drew for us to practice, I colored him, then cut him out and made a slit in his hand to hold a little heart.

If you are interested in taking this class you can go HERE to Sandy's Classes.  This is called Copic Jumpstart.  I would highly recommend it, especially if you are into copics and want to learn more about shapes and shading, she is a great teacher.

MIM Shadowing with Copic Markers

I finally got to play this afternoon and couldn't resist the technique by Danielle over at Capture the Moment for this weeks Make It Monday!

It is all about adding extra depth to your die cuts by going around the top and bottom edges with a copic marker.  Can you see mine?  It was V00,
I used the Big Hugs stamp and die set and also the flower blossom from Spring Woods.
My frame is PTI Cover Plate Frame Die,
This is Danielle's card:

 Keep cool...we had 100, 101 and 92 today...a little cooler (maybe) tomorrow!

CASology # 143 OMBRE

I love the Ombre look on cards and that is the challenge for
CASology this week.
I had the PTI Monthly Moments Journal Card #5 laying on my desk and thought I would use it!  so I sponged on some distress inks:  peacock feathers, salty ocean and chipped sapphire.  A layered a piece of lemon tart paper behind it to give the illusion of a starlit night!
The sweet elephant is from WPlus9:Unforgettable and the sentiment was a free stamp from Lawn Fawn, received with an order...I thought that was appropriate and thinking it sure would be a BIG hug, coming from an elephant!!  *wink
Thanks for taking a look!
