PTI March Blog Hop

Good morning friends!  I woke up and finally took a look at the gorgeous pictures Nichole posted over at PTI for the March Blog Hop...wow, I was inspired and then got busy, still in my jammies!  *wink
I used may stamp sets to create this scene, inspired by this photo on the left with the sweet little bird!

PTI October Blog Hop

What a great inspiration photo for this PTI Blog Hop
Blog Hop
I was drawn to the pumpkins and their unusual colors.
Well, now that I am posting this, I can see I should have used different background inks...this was starting out as a card for the MIM, and since I used the photo inspiration, it evolved into this card for the Blog Hop.  I used harvest gold and parakeet green for the dry brushing on the background and added my pumpkins from Autumn Pumpkins, they are colored with copics.
The Fancy Foliage Details were sponged with harvest gold, summer sunrise and canyon clay. The sentiment is from Give Thanks and I stamped it with dark chocolate about three times, then again with versamark and finally clear embossing powder ~ that is because the paper is textured Tim Holtz watercolor paper and it was hard to get a nice even stamping of the words, embossing it really helped.

PTI June Blog Hop

I just have to say that I had every intention of posting this for the Blog Hop, but being on vacation and having a house full of family, it totally slipped my mind.  I just remembered tonight, so thought I would post it now anyway, since it was all done!
Also, my granddaughter Ellie will be playing tomorrow for the CHAMPIONSHIP  in the 14 and under Volleyball Tournament in Phoenix AZ.  There are 140 teams in her age division, so to be first or second is a great accomplishment!
Goodnight friends!

I can't believe the JUNE BLOG HOP is upon us!
I used the striped vellum pattern paper and embossed my flowers using some zing ep.
Sorry for the not very clear picture!

Here is the inspiration piece!  I placed my vellum over smokey shadow card stock, added my sentiment on a rustic white tag to get the cream color.  Those are such cute little shoes, I can just imagine a sweet little thing wearing these shoes and dancing and twirling around!

PTI April Blog Hop

You can go HERE to play along with this months Blog Hop!

I don't know if you can tell or not, but I used the striped cover plate and turned it to get the woven look, which reminded me of the placemat.  I chose a Beautiful Brushstrokes rose and colored it with sweet blush, hibiscus burst and raspberry fizz.  The leaves are spring moss and simply chartreuse.  My sentiment from Happy Hydrangea was embossed on vellum.  the card base is soft stone.

PTI January Blog Hop

It is all about the one you love
and telling them so...
I used PTI "Heart Cover Plate" over a panel that was swiped in gradient colors of light pink to purple.
The die cut heart and sentiment are from
"The Best is Yet to Be" stamp set.
It will be 44 years for us later in 2015!
I think our love is here to stay!

2nd card for the August Papertrey Blog Hop

This is the 6th and last color and sketch challenge.  I decided to go with a baby card.  My friend brought this stamp down with her (she was here for the SAF!!  so much fun!)...the Polka dot Parade # 4...so I inked up that cute bear with the brown and stamped the sentiment in black.  the stripes were made with Super Stripes stamp set.
Here is the sketch and color combo:

Papertrey Ink July blog Hop # 4 card

Fruits-of-Summer-2     These are the colors for this last card I made for the July Blog Hop going on at the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop...I used Up, Up and Away stamp set for this card.  I used summer sunrise reinker and used a paint brush to water color the background after placing some masking paper for the clouds and the hot air balloons.

Papertrey Ink July Blog Hop card # 3

Fruits-of-Summer-3
These are the colors I used for my card, the stamp set is PTI Flower Garden. I did a little masking for the stems, and I also used the stems from Daydreamer stamp set and inked them up with a memento green marker pen.  The card and face of the card is stamper's select white, new leaf frames the stamped image and aqua mist pattern paper is attached to the sides.  The twine is from the Twinery.
If you want to play along, go HERE  to Nichole Heady's blog and check out all six of the color challenges.

Papertrey July Blog Hop ~ 2nd card

This time I used these colors:                                                                                                                        Fruits-of-Summer-5And made this card:
I stamped the ferns from Meadow Green using new leaf ink onto limeade ice paper; the big flower, or wisher, or Queen Anne's Lace  was stamped with summer sunrise, the stems in orange zest onto rustic white paper mounted on lemon tart.  The sentiment is also from the same stamp set using dark chocolate ink.   I notched the sides and added a little orange twine from The Twinery.

Another One for the PTI Blog Hop and Make It Monday

Please forgive the little 'blooper' in the bottom left corner, this was the third time for making this card...smudged the other two, and this one my finger moved at the last minute, but I am under the gun to get this posted in 6 minutes...so I used the Men of Life stamps...and Dad from that same stamp set...and I also tried Nichole's Make it Monday technique...here it is...

PTI April Blog Hop

The Blog Hop this month is to make a male type of card...birthday, father's day...whatever...just on the order of something male...meaning not too much bling or girlie bows and pink things...so I saw a "Weathered Wood Background" technique on Stamp TV and thought this would be perfect for a male card.  I used Lemon Tart paper and scored it with my score-pal every one half inch, then using two different colors of brown ink, I rub the ink over the whole sheet with the ink pad...gave it a very nice weathered kind of look...then I just added a tree and a sentiment...okay, I did add a bow, but I think that is okay...I truly think my brothers or father would not be offended to having a bow on their card.  I couldn't resist that "Little Bitty Bird" sitting on a branch.

Another Card for the February Scallop Challenge

This time I used one of the blooms from Beautiful Blooms...cut it out my hand, then the second layer was actually a stamped scallop from Beyond Basic Borders...I had to cut that by hand also...the final scallop is a punch.  The flowers are die cut and rolled and rolled in my fingers to break down the paper fibers so that the edges can be pulled away.  Again, I think that is from a technique by Betsy Veldman.

PTI Blog Hop Challenge

The challenge this month is to use anything and everything scalloped...

I used the two leaf stamps from Beautiful Blooms, stamped them in a row and cut them out for my scallop (saw Betsy Veldman do that on one of her cards a while back), added a couple more pieces of paper, some stitching and those cute Little Bitty Birds.
