Mother's Day cards...the day is just around the corner

I meet every Wednesday for Bible Study and the ladies always buy a card or two or I donate for someone we need to pray for and let them know.  So I was thinking, gosh, next Sunday is Mother's Day I only have this coming Wednesday to have some cards for the ladies...so here is an assortment of them and I used the flowers from Betsy's new collection from The Greetery called Fleur Impressions.  Just telling you they are from Betsy is enough to know that they are fabulous to play with and wonderful designs.  I hope you will go visit and see her whole collection...I will be adding moreto my collection for sure!

I used an assortment of inks...some of Catherine Poolers inks because you just ink and stamp once and the color is perfect every time.  However I did use some of the Distress Oxide inks and loved them also...in fact with the oxide inks you can stamp a lighter color on top of a darker color...did you know that?  So fun...now I am off to play with the trees!!

CASology: MOM

I can hardly believe it has been 9 years since my Mom left this world to enter eternal life.
I am happy for her, but can't help but be sad for me...I miss her.
My church has a Women's Luncheon always the Saturday before Mother's Day...to celebrate all women...any age!
I sell my cards that day and give back to the church.
This is one of the cards I will sell, no mother, no mother-in-law to give it to...

stamps & dies:  Altenew: Persian Motifs, PTI: Happy Hydrangea (sentiment)
distress ink for background
PPP clear sequins
copics
Go out and make it a great day friends!

MIM Color Isolation

Ashley has the video up at Capture the Moment showing us a Color Isolation technique.
I used water color paper and stamped the flowers and leaves with soft stone ink.
I die cut the flower (Vintage Linens) and the leaves (Bold Blossoms) and water colored them after stamping the outline images.
My sentiment is from happy Hydrangea stamped in Raspberry fizz, then again in versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder.
The card face is mounted on raspberry fizz paper.
Can you tell I am getting ready for Mother's Day?
Sadly my mom passed away 9 years ago, but my church always has a big Mother's day luncheon with guest speakers and I sell my cards...so I need a lot of Mother's Day cards!
Have a great week everyone!!

Mother's Day Cards

I am getting ready for a big sale of cards at our Church's Mother's Day Luncheon.
Here is the last one I made, I think I have about 15 now, so I might be done...but then again, I might be inspired to make more!
I had just received my PTI order and got the Big Banter Banner with those wonderful big sentiments.  It comes with two dies so you can make the back side of the banner as it is folded to be a different color...if that makes sense.  I used the raspberry fizz striped pattern paper for both the banner and the side piece.  I stamped the Bitty Bouquet flowers with pure poppy and that little 'mother's day' stamp is from an old Tag It's # 2.

Again, I just liking making cards for fun sometimes, not for any challenges.
These will all go in my stash and be sold at the luncheon...so I am making a lot of "thinking of you" kind of cards as well as the Mother's Day cards.  I may need to get busy with more 'get well' and sympathy and praying for you cards too!
When I made some others, I made four of each kind, maybe just trading out the colors of the flowers like these:

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!
I hope you all have a great week!

I don't know if you can tell or not, but I used the striped cover plate and turned it to get the woven look, which reminded me of the placemat.  I chose a Beautiful Brushstrokes rose and colored it with sweet blush, hibiscus burst and raspberry fizz.  The leaves are spring moss and simply chartreuse.  My sentiment from Happy Hydrangea was embossed on vellum.  the card base is soft stone.
