Make It Monday..Camouflaged Pocket Inserts!

 

A great new MIM up HERE.  Dawn has a fabulous idea for a making a pocket card but camouflaging it with die cuts!  Love it!!

I do not own that bookmark die, but my BFF does and I made some when I was at her house!!  I chose Beautiful Brushstrokes for the flowers and leaves and the sentiment is from Twig Leaf.

 

I tried a different one first..using candles, good idea, but didn't really pan out...might give it another try and place the candles on top of a BIG die cut number, what do you think??

there is a sentiment inside...it just reads "happy birthday", but the candles got all wonky on me, so they kind of stick out instead of laying flat...this one has to be a redo!!

I don't know if you can tell or not, but I used the striped cover plate and turned it to get the woven look, which reminded me of the placemat.  I chose a Beautiful Brushstrokes rose and colored it with sweet blush, hibiscus burst and raspberry fizz.  The leaves are spring moss and simply chartreuse.  My sentiment from Happy Hydrangea was embossed on vellum.  the card base is soft stone.

Stampin Celebration #100 & Addicted to Stamps

This is my first time with this challenge: Stampin' Celebration, .  They have a really pretty inspiration photo:

 

I used PTI's Beautiful Brushstrokes and what I liked about the photo was the white and green...but then I saw a bit of silver and gold too.  I stamped the flowers off each time I stamped the three layers....I didn't want pure white, just a touch of the green but this was the lightest I could get it! the sentiment is from PTI Wet Paint.

My next card is for Addicted to Stamps and this might be my first time for this challenge also.  The challenge this week is for "ANYTHING GOES!"  I loved that Lawn Fawn was sponsoring this challenge.

I have adored these Lawn Fawn bunnies from the Snow Day stamp set and thought they would be perfect for an Easter card.  The little eggs are an older Hero Arts quatros set called Fanciful Eggs.

I used the Lawn Fawn stitched hillside borders and the grassy borders dies.  The sentiment is from a PTI set called Egg Hunt.

I sponged some distress ink for the background,

 



Freshly Made Sketches

I am sneaking in under the wire here with a new Freshly Made Sketches!

I used PTI Beautiful Brushstrokes and some Avery Elle Sorbet collection pattern paper.

The sentiment is from PTI Stylish Sentiments:  Birthday.

I have LOVED playing with this Beautiful Brushstrokes Kit designed by Betsy Veldman over at PTI.

The black strip at the top and bottom of the card was made with a stamps from PTI Be Happy set.

 

I hope you will be inspired by the other team members to make a birthday card and enter it in this challenge...you have two weeks to make the card.  The challenge will end on Tuesday August 26.

My third MIM card

This is my third card for this

Make it Monday Challenge

You use non border dies for a creative border!

This time I decided to go with the bottom of the card.

I pulled out the Beautiful Brushstrokes Kit and inked it up and did a little masking too!

I added a strip of the black bitty dot on the inside and also at the top of the card to balance it.

I like how this turned out, I may just make another one!

And I added a couple of those wonderful raindrops, they add so much to the flower, they look like dew drops on the petals!
