Glitter Inlay~ MIM # 334

Lexi has a video HERE showing glitter inlay for the Make It Monday.
It has taken me all day to make this card...I had a lunch visit with my dad whom I haven't seen since Aug 6th the day before my total knee replacement.  We have talked nearly every day, but he still gets confused.  My daughter had lunch with him last Friday and I sent her a picture of my knee after the staples were removed (29 of them!) and also one of me with the ice machine and the continuous motion machine.  He looked at it and said, "Oh I thought she was having ankle surgery!"  Bless his heart!  That trip wore me out, I needed a nap and more ice on the knee... then I came back in here to finish up this card.
Every day is better...the nights not so much!

MIM ~ Sentiment Windows

This week, Dawn is challenging us to use a sentiment stamped on the inside of our card as part of the design on the card front, by utilizing a die cut window!  You can go HERE to watch her video.

PTI October Blog Hop

What a great inspiration photo for this PTI Blog Hop
Blog Hop
I was drawn to the pumpkins and their unusual colors.
Well, now that I am posting this, I can see I should have used different background inks...this was starting out as a card for the MIM, and since I used the photo inspiration, it evolved into this card for the Blog Hop.  I used harvest gold and parakeet green for the dry brushing on the background and added my pumpkins from Autumn Pumpkins, they are colored with copics.
The Fancy Foliage Details were sponged with harvest gold, summer sunrise and canyon clay. The sentiment is from Give Thanks and I stamped it with dark chocolate about three times, then again with versamark and finally clear embossing powder ~ that is because the paper is textured Tim Holtz watercolor paper and it was hard to get a nice even stamping of the words, embossing it really helped.

Make It Monday # 262

Ashley has a video HERE  showing three ways to use pumpkin stamps.
I guess my card would be a little trendy...

I was at a craft store and really did see different colors of fall  pumpkins...even white ones!
So I cut and sponged on different colors, then added the Stylized fox to sit behind them.  I also thought I would use up some of my coveted pattern paper!  Gingham from PTI Chicken Scratch and leaves from Fall Prints & Patterns.  I am calling this trendy because of the colors and also my purple fox!!

Have a great weekend friends!

CAS Mix Up September Challenge

Hi Friends!
I had a free day to play along with the CAS Mix Up September Challenge!  My house guest was at the beach and I had my shaving cream sitting on my desk waiting for me to use it!
I made about 6 pages of marbling using fallish colors of yellows, oranges, greens, even dropping in some purples and some reds.  My thought was to use leaves and pumpkins...I just love fall!!  And I love how these colors turned out, perfect for each of the things I wanted to die cut!!

Stamps & dies:  PTI Autumn Pumpkins
 Lil' Inkers Stitched leaves
 MFT Fall Foliage (sentiment)

I used shaving cream and reinkers for the marbling, die cuts and stamping.
I think you have until the 24th to enter your card!
this was a very fun technique and I have lots left over to use for other cards!

Freshly Made Sketches

This Freshly Made Sketch is by Jennifer Blum, go see what the design team has made to inspire you to play along with this sketch!
I am definitely in the 'fall' mode; right now our weather is perfect...cooler evenings but sunny and pleasant days...perfect for working outside!
Here is the sketch:

CB EF:  leaves
Autumn Pumpkins (pumpkins)
Paper clippings: Thankful for you (wheat stalks)
Spooky Smiles ( sentiment)
copics
Thank you for stopping by and taking a look!  Hope you all have a terrific Friday and a great weekend!  I have a house guest coming today and will be here for almost three weeks...a good friend and a cousin of my husbands from Norway!  She was here for the first time 50 years ago as a private exchange student living with my husbands family.  We became good friends and she has come back here many times to visit and to reconnect with friends.  I am looking forward to spending time with her and taking her around to all our old stomping grounds!

From Black and White to Color MIM # 260

I loved the MIM and Danielle's video  HERE.
I wasn't trying to be too fancy, but I think I did make it harder for myself by trying to mask some of the images...it is what I had pictured in my mind...you know how that goes!
It took me a few tries to get it right, after I did this one, I did one other, more like the one Danielle did in her video and just stamped away...oh and then I forgot what I was doing and colored in the WHOLE thing!  Well, shoot, forget about the black and white!!
so this is the THIRD card made for this challenge..LOL...this time I stamped, then cut out and then only colored in the pieces on the inside of the cute...well, that was much easier!

This is what I used for the first card and the one I am entering:
Autumn Pumpkins
Bold Blossoms (leaves)
PPP Sand sequins
Maya Arts Twine
copics
My second card was stamped with this set:
Bold Blossoms
Give Thanks (sentiment)
Lil' Inkers Stitched Rectangle die
Copics
Nuvo Crystal Drops
Thanks for stopping by friends!!
Hope you have a great week!
Kiddos are back in school, sports has started, will be going to grandaughters Volleyball match tonight, she is wearing the Libero's shirt!!
