Hello friends!  Today I am playing along with  MIM over at the Papertrey Ink Blog where Stephanie Gold has a video showing how to use outline images over solid images...it gives kind of an artsy look to the card.

From Black and White to Color MIM # 260

I loved the MIM and Danielle's video  HERE.
I wasn't trying to be too fancy, but I think I did make it harder for myself by trying to mask some of the images...it is what I had pictured in my mind...you know how that goes!
It took me a few tries to get it right, after I did this one, I did one other, more like the one Danielle did in her video and just stamped away...oh and then I forgot what I was doing and colored in the WHOLE thing!  Well, shoot, forget about the black and white!!
so this is the THIRD card made for this challenge..LOL...this time I stamped, then cut out and then only colored in the pieces on the inside of the cute...well, that was much easier!

This is what I used for the first card and the one I am entering:
Autumn Pumpkins
Bold Blossoms (leaves)
PPP Sand sequins
Maya Arts Twine
copics
My second card was stamped with this set:
Bold Blossoms
Give Thanks (sentiment)
Lil' Inkers Stitched Rectangle die
Copics
Nuvo Crystal Drops
Thanks for stopping by friends!!
Hope you have a great week!
Kiddos are back in school, sports has started, will be going to grandaughters Volleyball match tonight, she is wearing the Libero's shirt!!

Make It Monday ~ Reverse Stenciling

Boy does Betsy come up with unique ways to use stamps and stencils!
Today the MIM is about doing a reverse stencil on your card.  You can go HERE to watch Betsy's video!
I had my own stencil made from the Happy hexagon Cover Plate...only some of the hexagons did not cut out, but I thought that would look good and add some extra interest to the background.  I brayed on Spring Rain and Blueberry Sky.  and I added a strip of blueberry sky card stock at the top.
I die cut the word two times and added glossy accent on top.

Seize the Birthday ~ Let's Color!!

Pull  out your favorite coloring medium and play along with our topping this time at
I chose to use copics mainly because I need a lot more practice!
This is a coloring sheet from PTI "Bold Blossoms"...so easy, I didn't need to stamp and mask and mask some more...it is all done for you!  And the pads come in either paper for coloring or watercolor paper!
I sentiment is PTI Graceful Greetings...and I die cut it for extra dimension.
Of course I had to add some of my favorite sequins from PPP...clear!!

The TOPPING is to color your birthday card,
but as always, ANYTHING GOES!
We look forward to seeing what you make in the gallery!!

Day 8 Color Pop Fortune Teller

I am on a time crunch here folks, leaving for Salt Lake City in 2 hours...so much still to do, but I had to try to get this card made for today as I will not be playing the rest of the release.
So I made my little fortune teller (LOVED playing this as a young girl!!)
And my colors are aqua mist, spring rain and royal velvet.
Since I had so little time to really get into it..I pulled out a watercolor sheet form the Bold Blossoms and dropped down some reinkers.
I dabbed some water in the spaces first and then dropped my brush with the reinkers into each space.  I made sure I didn't touch each petal if it was wet.  I especially love the royal velvet blossom because it just fanned out so pretty and gave me different shadings all on its own.  Interestingly, the spring rain did NOT do that.  and I also thought the spring rain reinker did not look like the actually color, so I swiped the ink pad on my craft sheet and picked up some color that way, that seemed to be more true to the real color.

Anyway, FUN idea, loved it and will probably keep this little game and make more when I need a mojo lift!!
This is Day 8 of the Release and you can go HERE to check out the whole release and the challenge is at the bottom of the page.

Thanks friends for stopping by...have a terrific weekend!!
