SEIZE THE BIRTHDAY ~STRIPES

Welcome to another SEIZE THE BIRTHDAY CHALLENGE!!

Linda is our hostess for this challenge and she asking to see "STRIPES"

on our birthday card!!

I colored up the SSS:  Mix & Match Butterfly Duo with copics and cut it out (with dies)

 

After coloring on some paper with two of the same copics pens, I cut the strips out using a Mama Elephant Strip Die and glued the strips at an angle.

Then I adhered the butterfly by gluing the bottom half of the butterfly and using dimensional tape on the upper wings.

So there you have my card using stripes!

SEIZE THE BIRTHDAY~ TIC - TAC - TOE

Hi Friends!

Our challenge at Seize the Birthday is hosted by Glenda and she has a TIC - TAC - TOE board to use for your inspiration!

I chose to go diagonal for my tic-tac-toe card!

I started by adding stripes at a diagonal,  I kept it pretty Clean Simple and then my sentiment definitely does not have the word "birthday" in it, but you know that it is meant for that celebration!

SEIZE THE BIRTHDAY ~ RED AS MAIN COLOR

Welcome to another SEIZE THE BIRTHDAY CHALLENGE where our Hostess is JoAnn and the topping is using RED as the main color on your birthday card!

Here I used a Lisa Horton EF:  Buttercup Bloom.  It comes with an outline die cut which is really nice because it gives all the impressions in the leaves and flowers from the embossing folder.  So I cut it twice once with white card stock and then red.  I managed to cut out the red flowers and leave the white leaves.  I did dab on a bit of Lunar Paste:  slippery when wet on the center of the flowers.

My sentiment is from MFT:  Anything but Basic Birthday Wishes

My red coverplate is a Pinkfresh Floral & Diamond Tile Coverplate that I decided to cut at an angle.

SEIZE THE BIRTHDAY ~ USE A STENCIL

Welcome friends to another Seize the Birthday Challenge!

This challenge is brought to us by Vicki and her topping is to use a stencil on our birthday card!

I happened to have a piece of cardstock already stenciled and splattered up just sitting in a box waiting for the right time!  And today is the day!

I used a flower die cut out twice and adhered to the card front.  .

If anyone recognizes this die, let me know the name because I had it on a magnetic sheet and labeled, but realized it was not correct.  So now I do not know where this die came from.

SEIZE THE BIRTHDAY ~ Signs of Spring

Hi friends, Welcome to another Seize the Birthday Challenge!

Lindsey is our hostess looking for signs of spring on our birthday cards!

Here in the PNW Tulips is definitely the sign that spring is in the air...along with rain and winds!

It seems as soon as the tulips pop out with all their vibrant colors, the spring rains also come and beat them down!  I have two cards for you today!

This card was made for my friend's Mom's 90th birthday!  

And since I was pulling out tulip stamps, I ran across this one and I believe it is designed by Betsy as well as the one above.

Hi friends!  Today we have the pleasure of Jules selecting our "topping" and she chose "BEVERAGE"

for our topping this time at Seize the Birthday Card Challenge,

This one was a challenge for me, but I finally found a drink that looked festive, so I kept it simple and focused on the beverage!

The beverage is from Hero Arts:  Summer

The sentiment is from PTI:  Flipping Out

Now all that is needed is water and a lounge chair to celebrate the birthday!

SEIZE THE BIRTHDAY ~ STRIPES

Welcome to another Seize the Birthday Challenge!

Vicki is our hostess and wants to see stripes on our birthday card!

I have two cards to share with you today:

Awhile back I had a play date with my BFF and I used her new Pinkfresh stamp, stencil and die called Infinite Blooms.  I had fun using a variety of colors.  For this card I pulled out a pattern pack from PTI and used the pink ombre stripes from my background.  The sentiment is from The Greetery.

 

This card I used a Bold Stripes stencil from Scrapbook.com with gray ink.

I still have a couple more of these flowers all colored up, coloring with stencils is a pretty quick and easy way to put together cards.

Hey friends, we have a fun challenge up at the Seize the Birthday Blog, go check out all the inspiration from the team and our Special Party Guest is Jules, please give her a welcome at her blog:  HERE!

The Challenge this time is:  1 - 2 - 3

1 die cut or punch, 2 colours (excluding neutrals), 3 embellishments (same or different)

If you're not a toppings kinda person, well.....you can just
stick with our usual "Anything Goes"Birthday!

Just remember to keep it a Birthday Theme!

I have two cards for you today, both with a butterfly!

 

I used a PTI Stamp-A-Fair 2017 stamp called Ever so Much.

No die, so I fussy cut it out, embossed with white and used orange and yellow zig clear water color pens.

The sentiments is PTI: Keep it Simple, Birthday

and I added three Pretty Pink Posh clear marshmallow confetti

 

My next card for your inspiration:

I MFT die cut Brilliant Butterfly

2 colors blue & green

3 nuvo drops!

The background is an Altenew dotted scales debossing plate.

So there you have it 1 - 2 - 3!!

I recently purchased this 3-D embossing folder and it is wonderful...I thought it would look great just by itself and a sentiment...so a quick and easy card to put together!

Seize the Birthday ~ Use scraps

Hi friends, thanks for stopping by and checking out the Seize the Birthday Challenge!

Lindsey is our hostess and the topping is using our scraps!

If you do NOT want to use the topping, you are welcome to make any kind of BIRTHDAY card!

I am positive I am NOT alone in this,  I have so many boxes of scraps that I cut or start coloring or even almost put together, but get easily sidetracked and then it gets cleaned up and goes into the box of unused 'stuff'.  I looked through the box first when the topping was "USE YOUR SCRAPS"!

I could make LOTS of cards from the scrap box!

About a month ago I made some backgrounds using shaving foam and I even had the image all cut and colored as well, so it went together pretty quickly!

I was pretty surprised that the colors were okay together!
