MIM # 221 ~ Masking Sentiments

Ashley has a video up on Capture the Moment.
It is all about masking off your sentiment and stamping around it, then pulling the masking paper off and stamping your sentiment.
I thought it would be fun to sponge some balloons around the sentiment and let them overlap each other because balloons can be transparent!

Here is her card:
MIM1
I used a die from Simon Says Stamps for the balloons, Inkadinkado masking paper, and the sentiment is from Graceful Greetings.Ink is PTI, a silver Gelly Roll pen for the strings!

Tomorrow I am taking a field trip with three friends, we are driving into Hood River ( about 1 1/2 hour from my house), having lunch, stopping at a Peach Orchard to bring home some yummy juicy peaches and then to an Alpaca Farm to see the baby's and maybe browse through their yarn store!  Should be a fun day with the ladies...although it is supposed to be 100 degrees tomorrow..so that is NOT so good!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hope you survived the trip & got those peaches! My dad's favorite was peaches & I always gave them to him for his BD present. Great take on the challenge using balloons. Not sure if I'll figure out something to do this week.

Awesome card Colleen! I love how your balloons really do look transparent...great coloring on those! And your masked sentiment nestles just perfectly in between all those balloons...love it! Hope you had a wonderful trip with your friends...do you like to knit? I love to knit...socks seem to be my favorite (and my family...they always want more!!) at the moment, although I do have yarn waiting to be knitted into a sweater for Addy! :0)

Super cute card. I love how you cut around your sentiment to make the mask. Really gives it a finished look.

Your sentiment is so pretty, and like Linda, love the way you cut it out to maximize the flourish. And your balloons really make it stand out!
