Make It Monday with Papertrey Ink # 131

That Betsy is CRAZY AWESOME!!  She comes up with the BEST ideas EVER!!  This time she shows us how to do some Striped Embossing.  Now, I have to admit I didn't think it would work...I know, I watched her do it, but that doesn't mean it will work for me!  ha...they always make it look easy and it usually isn't!  But this one was okay!  I thought for sure after putting the post it notes over the versamark that the embossing powder wouldn't stick so good to it, but IT DID!  Of course I pulled out a wide sentiment...just to make it a little easier for me!!  I loved how she used the Autumn Pattern Pieces, so I used the same set on the lower part of my card.  Now if my BFF were here with me, she would NOT be surprised to see me get out my ruler and measure the equal distance...and I didn't do to bad, but I could have had more of the pink showing, which actually I thought I had all planned out, but it didn't turn out that way, even with pencil marks, paper placed on a grid background etc...I know, some people can just eyeball it and it works, me...I am always a little crooked or "off"...so the ruler is always beside me!  My BFF...she doesn't know how to use a ruler!  LOL...but she does just fine without it!!

Stamps:   Wonderful Words:  Hello, Autumn Pattern Pieces, Framed Out # 11
Zing embossing powder:  blush, aqua, leaf
paper:  stampers select white, Hawaiian shores

Great embossing on the word, and I also love your bottom half's stamping, which adds just the right enough texture and detail :)

Supposed to say "amount of", not "enough". Darn auto correct!

This is very cute Col. And I really can't believe that you used a ruler for this. This really made me laugh. But it fits. Only you would use a ruler....jk

This looks great - I completely agree with you - even watching Betsy do it, I didn't think they embossing powder would stick after removing the post-its. Fabulous card!

Great job on this challenge Colleen! Love your card. I haven't had a chance to try this yet, hopefully later in the week. I'm with you, my ruler is always at hand also.
