52 Christmas Card Throwdown

Hi friends...I am looking for more Christmas card challenges to meet my quota before December.
Here is a new one to me called 52 Christmas Card Throwdown.

this is what I came up with:

I used Altenew white Wood Grain Paper and swiped it with my PTI Kraft ink.
I die cut the snowshoes in the same paper so it has the texture of wood.

Merry Monday

Welcome to another Merry Monday Challenge where Lori is our hostess this week and she has a photo inspiration for you!
I saw the Hot chocolate sign, browns, whites and reds...so I went with a hot chocolate mug, with a peppermint stick of course!
I hope you will join us this week, I think it is time to count down to Christmas because it is going to be here sooner than we think.  This is a perfect time to get some cards made for your Christmas list!

Merry Monday # 226 Winter Fun

We only have one more week after this one for our Merry Monday Christmas Challenge,
then we will all be taking a break to enjoy the time with family and friends.
I hope you will join us for these two challenges!
Lori is looking for a winter fun activity on your card!
I remember when we would get snow, sledding was the most fun thing to do...and I lived in Seattle as a young girl, so lots of hills to go down!
And even after moving to Oregon didn't change the landscape...still lots of hills and so much fun sledding with our own children and even grandchildren!

Seize the Brrrr-thday!

Welcome once again friends for joining us at the
Seize the Birthday Challenge!
And we have a new guest designer with us.  We are welcoming TANJA as our Party Guest!

Please go check out her blog at
Little Art Cottage
Can you guess the topping this time?
We are asking for you to use a holiday stamp for your birthday card this time!
I pulled out my Impression Obsession "cover-a-card" PINE TREES.  I am loving this stamp!!
I stamped it in ripe avocado with the Misti, I stamped three times to get good coverage.
I die cut some Lawn Fawn Stitched hillside dies and taped them to the front.  My little sled is from PTI "Two Feet Deep".  For added snow I used my "irRESISTible" white pico embellisher all over the card, including the tree branches...then I dusted on some Doodlebug Sugar Coating: lily white glitter!  Do you know what my craft space has all over it and me now?  *wink*

I love that little sentiment...brrrrr-thday!!
I hope you will join us in making a birthday card with a holiday stamp.
Remember, you are always most welcome to make ANY kind of Birthday CARD!
And go check out all the other inspiration from the other members of the team!

Have a great weekend!
And thanks for stopping by!

Merry Monday # 87

This is # 87 for Merry Monday and Christmas cards...if you want to play, go HERE and check it out...
As you can see, they are asking for a card with a mitten(s) on it...or your card could be shaped like a mitten!

Here in the Pacific Northwest in the Portland area...we did NOT get any snow that amounted to anything, although we did have the freezing weather, even down in the single digit for two nights!  I was a little bummed thinking it would be fun to pull out the sleds and mittens, scarves, boots etc and play in the snow with the grandkids who live right next door to me!  Instead of the real thing happening, I made a card...I finally inked up Two Feet Deep, added the little bundle of greenery and the mittens hanging off the sled.  The mittens are from Shape Up Snowman.   I had a scrap of the MME paper that resembles wood siding and thought PERFECT, the sled can lean against that!  My sentiment is from Winter Hills.  I almost forgot to tell you that I used some Stampendous shaved ice on a few parts of the card...the top of the sled, the mittens and a touch on the greenery...just enough to indicate there was snow and ice crystals forming!!  *wink*

We are having rain now and it is NOT fun because I am watching my daughter's dog, who is a HORSE, but would really like to be a lap dog!!  Ha ha...he jumps up and puts his paws on my shoulders and I am face to face with him!!  I told you, he is a horse...and when it was cold and freezing, we could let him out and bring him right back in because the ground was frozen...not so now..mud in the paws and he found a pasture with horse manure this morning...ARE YOU KIDDING ME?  I guess he goes on a leash and we walk him now!!

Have a super weekend friends,
I will be in the gym both days watching
Dina's two daughters play some club volleyball.
My husband is coaching the younger one's team!

Colleen
