I had this rubber stamp sitting on my desk and shame on me, but I don't have any wrapping for it, or the name where it came from...it has the sentiment: Let's Chill at the bottom of the penguin (I didn't us the sentiment!) so if anyone recognizes it, please let me know who I should give credit to for this darling penguin!  I used what I learned from Kit & Clowder when coloring penguins.

Merry Monday with Debbie and Stars!

Welcome to another Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge friends!
Debbie is our Merry Host this week and she is looking for stars on our Christmas Card!
My BFF gifted me this Gina K Wreath builder stamp & Kit...(I know, I have the BEST BFF, right? You all know her...Linda from Lin's Craft Corner and we have been BFF's for 6o years...I know we were all most cradle friends...LOL!) )and the first think I wanted to do was see if I could make a card and when I saw I needed stars for this challenge I set to work!  I of course practiced on scratch paper first and I learned a lot...1. Use the correct size paper in the template...ha ha...I know that should be a given, but I am not always focused! 2. Make sure each stamp as you turn the paper lands on the paper!  LOL again! 3.  If you are using something that has somewhat of a line to it, make sure it is straight and NOT kindywampus! IYKWIM!!)  So after several practice templates, I was ready to go for the GOLD!  I stamped three stars at a time with versamark, then embossed, then did three more, I did the larger 8 pointed stars first, then placed the other two stars in between and stamped them at the same time, again I turned and stamped three times then embossed.  And VOILA!  It worked friends!!
I then die cut a circle and stamped and embossed in gold my sentiment.  I attached it to a shiny gold paper and mounted it on a 4.25 x 4.25 square card.

So friends, I will look for your cards in the gallery!  But first, go check out the awesome star cards the DT made for you!

Merry Monday #283 with Leanne

Leanne is our Hostess this week at Merry Monday and she is looking for a puppy on our Christmas cards! Please be sure to check out the other design team members for a furry friend on their cards.
I couldn't resist coloring up this cute little guy and of course he has a wonderful background filled with the Christmas tree all aglitter!  Since he is "man's best friend"  I thought it appropriate that the sentiment says "Goodwill to men"! I think these little guys bring as much joy and happiness into our lives as we bring into theirs.  I love puppy's.  Speaking of puppy's, my daughter has a new one...she is now wondering what possessed her to get a new puppy!  LOL  Everyone knows you cannot resist those cute little faces in the pet store...she is a sucker for them!  so she came home with an 8 week old.  It is like having a baby...doesn't sleep through the night, wakes her in the very early hours and then wants to play, NOT go back to sleep!  And she has to be walked outside every hour so she learns that is where she does her business, not inside the house...that is still a work in progress!!
Her name is Lucy and she is cute and she is smart, so hopefully it won't take too long to train her!  Of course they had to get the invisible fence fixed!  We can't have her out in the road!!
Have a wonderful week friends and I will see you in the gallery!!

Merry Monday # 281 with Kim!

Welcome friends!  Glad you are back to play along with our Merry Monday Challenge where we encourage and inspire you to make your Christmas cards RIGHT NOW for next December!!~
Kim is our Hostess this week with a photo and asking us to use it as inspiration for our card.
I pulled out the Friendship Jar Holiday Fillers series from PTI and die cut the smaller jar from vellum and colored on the backside of it with a brown copic to look like hot chocolate.
I added embossed marshmallows on top and colored a bit with a C1 copic.  I also added a peppermint stick to the hot drink! *wink

Please stop by the blog and see how the other team members used this photo and I will look forward to seeing you in the gallery!

Merry Monday # 280 With Kelly as our Host

Hi friends!  Welcome to another Merry Monday Christmas card Challenge!
Today Kelly is our host and she has a wonderful photo inspiration for you!
I was drawn to the stars...so I used a new to me die that my BFF gave me for Christmas called Star Frame Die from Avery Elle...it comes with three sizes of stars too.  I cut the stars out of some glitter paper and the frame out of glitter and the silver Lux PTI paper.
First I used some brushos for the background and framed it in white and put it on an indigo blue card stock.  I used a sentiment from Penny Black called Holy Night and embossed it with HA silver ep.
I hope you will be able to play along with us and check out the rest of the design teams cards for their interpretation of this wonderful photo.
I will see you in the gallery!

Merry Monday # 279 Poinsettias

JoAnn is our host for the Merry Monday challenge this week.
She is looking for a poinsettia on your Christmas card.
I used the Avery Elle Holiday Bouquet and stamped it all around the edges, I die cut the sentiment in black and added it on top of the card. The flowers were colored with copics and I added glossy accents to each of the white berries!
I hope you will be inspired to make a poinsettia card for the challenge this week and I look forward to seeing your card in the gallery!
