Day 2 Online clean & simple ~ Kristina's technique

Border gap die cutting is the technique shown by Kristina.
Okay, I think we are done with embossing, now we move onto die cutting.
This was fun and a way to think outside the box!
I used the stamps and dies from PTI Birthday Style
The sentiment is from SSS Birthday Balloons.
Distress inks were used for the strip.

Final card for Day 1 Online Class ~ Masked heat embossing

I was pleasantly surprised that it worked for me, although I am NOT happy with the zing embossing powder, it would NOT melt and it doesn't blend well, except for that I was able to stamp my background and mask off and then apply the different colors of powder.
And here we go again with another 'boo boo'...I can't even tell you how long I used my heating tool to emboss this card...OMG it took forever and when I 'thought' I was done (of course, I turned it this way and that to scrutinize the embossing) I was ready to apply my sentiment (which is a Lawn Fawn: Thanks) die cut with black cardstock and embossed twice with rangers 'black sparkle' powder...wow is this ever cool looking when it is all done.  Oh, but wait, my orange powder was NOT embossed...oh shoot...so, since some of it flaked away, nothing to do but add a strip of black paper to cover up the smear...I think I am done with zing powder!
the background stamp is a Hero Arts stamp called "tablecloth"

Okay, now for day 2...hope this goes better for me!!

Another card for Day 1 Online Class ~ 3 D Embossing

Are we all having fun learning new techniques?  These girls are just beyond crazy creative!
Here is my take on Kristina's card with a 3 D embossing technique:
I am still in the mood for Valentines cards, so I pulled out PTI background basics: heart.
I stamped it with raspberry fizz, then again with versamark and gold embossing powder.
Now this card was suppose to be a one layer card with the illusion that the background was all one stamp (it isn't, you have to stamp it multiple times to cover the sheet) so I masked it off, repeatedly stamped the hearts with the pink ink, then I went back and used versamark and gold embossing powder.  Yeah, then I was ready to stamp "happy"...cool, all done and embossed with gold, when I was getting ready to adhere my banner I realized I stamped the "happy" upside down!  OH NO!!  After all that work I just couldn't start over, so I decided to just cut a strip and add it on top of my boo boo...I am sure you have never done anything like that, right?  *wink*
So there you have it...kind of makes your eyes go all wiggly doesn't it?
Go out and make it a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Online clean & simple Day 1 Masked heat embossing

Jennifer showed a Masked heat Embossed technique.
I pulled out a Hero Arts Background Stamp called antique brocade...I don't have many large background stamps, but this one worked.
I not only embossed the heart in zing aqua, but also the whole card is embossed with white powder, IRL, it is all shiny and pretty!

One more technique, hope I get to it today, you know those classes, they keep rolling them out!
