MIM # 316 Stenciled Edges

Hi friends, I was on a road trip from St Louis, Missouri to home, Oregon...and I tried posting this card on the trip, but couldn't get good cell service, so gave up, then the more I thought about the card I made, the more I decided I wanted to change the background stenciling.  As soon as I got home I  redid the card.  This is for the MIM # 316 Stenciled Edges and Lizzie demonstrated how she does it HERE
It really is a nice way to add extra texture and draw your eye into the focal images.
Actually I made this card first:
And decided, it was okay but I would try something else...so I made this one:

As you can see, I used the same flowers, just changed up the background, since I had the leaves in a gray color, I thought I should sponge on the background in gray also.  What do you think?  Did I totally blow it?
I am just glad that I got home in time to post it to the challenge!
Happy Easter everyone!

MIM ~ Framing Sentiments

Laurie has a video up HERE showing how she likes to frame sentiments to draw your eye to it, or you could have an image inside the frame too.  I chose the sentiment and made my frame using two die cuts.  And of course more of the Farmer's Market Florals.  The sentiment is from Bigger Blooms

I like this design and will try to remember to use it more often!!

PTI Day 10 Stripes Challenge

Today is Day 10 of the 11th Anniversary Challenges and they are asking for STRIPES on the card.
I was going for some crazy bright, vibrant colors and I think I achieved it!
I die cut the top and bottom striped orange zest from the pattern pack paper.  I sponged on picked raspberry and candied apple to the background paper first. My flowers are from the Farmer's Market Florals in all the bright colors I could think of...I kind of love this bright card!
My sentiment is from Graceful Greetings.

I don't know about you, but I am excited to see the full reveal tomorrow and get my shopping cart full and save 11%!!

PTI 11th Anniversary 1st Day Challenge

Welcome friends to the Papertrey 11th Anniversary festivities ~ I always look forward to this time of the year...PTI makes it so fun to participate in their anniversary activities.  I am always inspired!
Today they have sketches to try.  Pick a sketch that inspires you, make a card and link it up.
I chose Melissa's sketch to try, in fact I used the same Mix & Mat.  I am loving those Mix & Mat's and want to use them more often, so thought this would be a good way to do so.
I just received the Farmer's Market Florals and I have always loved pink and gray together.
I used a stencil brush to add the gray to the die, my florals are done with sweet blush, lovely lady, and autumn rose.  The leaves are stamped with HA soft granite and a little copic to add the highlights.
The sentiment is from Beautiful Butterflies.

Thanks for stopping by, I can hardly wait to see what is planned for tomorrow!
