CAS Watercolour & Stencil Card Challenge ~ February

Hi friends!
I made a card for the CAS Watercolour Challenge that my friend Marcia is hosting this month!
I think in honor of Valentines day and because she loves COLOR challenges, she chose red and black.  I was inspired by Loll's card...pretty much copied it!  And I mean that in the nicest way!
I used zig watercolor markers to color this flower from Gina K called Whimsical Flowers.  I added a piece of black and white striped paper too!
And while I am here at the CAS Challenges, I decided to try my hand at foil stenciling with the CAS Stencil Challenge!
I used the Flowing Hearts stencil from Altenew that was given to me by my BFF for Christmas...it has two sizes, I used the smaller of the hearts for this card and used red foil to cover it.
It came out perfect!
My sentiment is from The Greetery: Sentiment Suite Love

One more card, not for a challenge, just because it is Valentines coming up!!
I used the larger Altenew Flowing Hearts Stencil and I also used Gina K Glitz Glitter gel and it is so shiny and sparkly!  I added the sentiment from a die cut.
all of my Nuvo pastes dried up on me and I am not happy about that...I do love this Gina K, sure hoping this doesn't dry up just because I don't use it every day until it is gone!
Well, that is it for me, hope you all are having a wonderful Wednesday!!

CAS Watercolour Challenge ~ July

Wasn't the first half of the month for CAS Watercolour Challenge a fun surprise celebrating Darnell's birthday with bouquets of flowers?

Guess what?  We have another fun surprise for the second half of the month...our sweet friend Bonnie has a birthday today, the 16th.  I have another bouquet of flowers for her too!  I hope you will play along and for sure, go visit Bonnie and give her some love on her birthday!

I white embossed and then used zigs to water color the image.
Penny Black:  Fragrant
The Greetery:  Just Mason Around (sentiments)

CAS Watercolour ~ July

Special Event

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARNELL!!

One more part to this special event.
The team has made special cards for Darnell's birthday,
along with our Guest Designer Leslie,
and several Featured Designers (friends from the retreat).

During our retreat, Darnell (Dolly to us) was up early one morning
and decided she wanted some frozen blueberries.
Some how she spilled almost the whole, Costco-sized bag of
blueberries all over the floor.

Bonnie snapped these pictures.

See the swipe of blueberries on the right photo??  Dolly couldn't find a broom so she grabbed a large piece of card stock to pick up the berries.  As they thawed, the blueberry juice "smooshed" on the cardstock in a lovely design that looked perfect for card making.

Well, without Dolly knowing, we kept that piece of blueberry smoosh and cut it up.
Each Designer has used one piece in making Dolly's birthday cards. :)

I am SO HONORED to be a featured guest this month on CAS Watercolour Challenge so I can be a part of celebrating DARNELL'S BIRTHDAY!
Happy Birthday TODAY, July 2nd,  Darnell!  I am over joyed that I can call you friend!!

I used WPLUS9 Beautiful Bouquets: Dahlia for my watercolour bouquet.
I stamped and embossed it with clear powder, then I used my Inktense colored pencils to color the bouquet.  I used the technique Darnell shared with us at the ESCR retreat in May.
Water brush TIP to colored pencil TIP...what a great way to color and have some control!
I fussy cut the image and placed it on my card.

Friends, I hope you will join us this month and show Darnell some love with your Bouquet of Watercolour Flowers to celebrate her birthday!
