Another Card for the February Scallop Challenge

This time I used one of the blooms from Beautiful Blooms...cut it out my hand, then the second layer was actually a stamped scallop from Beyond Basic Borders...I had to cut that by hand also...the final scallop is a punch.  The flowers are die cut and rolled and rolled in my fingers to break down the paper fibers so that the edges can be pulled away.  Again, I think that is from a technique by Betsy Veldman.

PTI Blog Hop Challenge

The challenge this month is to use anything and everything scalloped...

I used the two leaf stamps from Beautiful Blooms, stamped them in a row and cut them out for my scallop (saw Betsy Veldman do that on one of her cards a while back), added a couple more pieces of paper, some stitching and those cute Little Bitty Birds.

Make it Monday..another Glitter Card

another card...I was on a roll and decided to keep going...hope you like...I used the bitty baby buttons and scored diagonally with the score-pal.  I made my own button using the epoxy dome stickers on top of a 5/8 inch punch that I stamped using background basics: retro.

Make it Monday on PTI... # 3 it's all about GLITTER!!

GLITTER......what do you think about that?  It is fun to use...and I don't use it nearly enough...of course I have it everywhere when I do use it!  I am really enjoying these Make * It Mondays...thank you PTI for thinking of this and for rewarding one of us with a free stamp set!  YOU are the BEST!

Friendship Jar Fillers for the daisy...Embellishments for the sentiment...colored with copics

These are just quick and easy to pull together..great to have on hand...especially when my two daughters hit the stash or ask, "Mom, do you have a card or tag for me to use?"

Blooming Button Bits and Thinking about YOU

I was looking through the PTI designer blogs and ran across this card made by Betsy...I love this stamp set and I love that Betsy can think outside the box and use stamps in such unique and clever ways.  For the scallop edge, she actually used the leaf stamp, turned on it's side and then she cut it out...which was actually pretty easy to do!  What a clever scalloped edge!  Now I am thinking that perhaps I will have to purchase the new "button" stamp and die cut sets because you know, when you add button or other dimensional 'blings' to cards, you have to increase the postage.  So the new stamp set and dies would allow you to stamp and then cut out the "paper buttons" which might just allow you to not have to add another .10 cents to the mailing of your card.  They do have special paper...I believe it is called coaster cards...so it is a little bit thicker, but probably not as much as a button would be!

Friendship Jar fillers

I am anxiously awaiting my new stamp set from PTI...Friendship Jar Spring fillers set...it is loaded with goodness to color...valentines (I know a little late on that this year!) but more flowers...crocus or tulips...and then Easter goodies...like eggs...bunnies, sentiments...lots of wonderful little goodies to tuck into the jar and to practice coloring with those copics!

I just received some new copics and was very anxious to try my hand at coloring...these flowers were actually colored last summer...the bottom left flower was colored, cut and popped out on the card.  I was thinking this would be like giving a bouquet of flowers to a friend...flowers cut from the yard.....will have to wait a few months for beauties like these to be blooming in the yard!

Birthday tags

I made a lot of Christmas tags...so decided to try my hand at birthday tags...just pulled out a bunch of scrap paper strips, some stamps and went to town.  Sometimes a little gift in a bag with a tag is just the right thing...so I think these will come in handy when a quickie is needed...and of course there is a "To and From" stamped on the back!

Make it Monday PTI #2 - vellum sentiment

The second Make it Monday video showcases stamping a sentiment on vellum...Nichole from Papertrey also used the score-pal to score a line above and below her sentiment..I chose to cut my vellum as a tag and then stamped it.  The stamps are from the Asian Fusion stamp set and the sentiment is from Embellishments.   I send out three cards almost every month to my aunts..(2 are in their mid 80's and one is 92!) just to let them know that I am thinking and praying for them.  I share little tidbits of news about the family...just a way to keep them connected...we live in different states!

Little Bitty Birds

This is a birthday card...the sentiment inside reads:  Wishing you a day filled with love and joy...and it is definitely sent from the heart...I used 5 stamp sets to make this card.  The Background Music and hearts stamp sets, the Little Bitty Birds, the Bird Watching has the birdhouses, the sentiment is from Embellishments and the inside sentiment is from Heartfelt Basics.  I cut out the birds and the birdhouses to add a little dimension to the card...and then of course a lovely red heart button...couldn't resist!  I saw a very similar card on a blog and I liked it so much, I made one like it.

Make it Monday...Go To Sentiment

I had this idea for making a birthday card for my grandaughter who will really be turning 10 on her next birthday.  I used the Top Ten and Top Ten Additions to stamp on the words that describe her!  Then I used the scallop and circle nestabilities to cut it out.  The number is from the same stamp set and the birthday sentiment is from All About You.  I was thinking if I had the PTI number's die, that would look really good too, especially if the paper behind it made the number pop...

A Treasured Friend

I cased Melissa Phillips card...I love her style...so sweet, such thoughtful elements she uses to cover the whole card base.  I love the little pearls at the neckline...just as if it were a necklace!  Such creativity!  I used the Background Basic Music sheet and the Background Basics Heart on the card on the left...on the right I used the script from the Background Basics Heart set...the die and sentiment is from the Signature Series Dress Form.  I also used the dies from matstack #4 and the fillable frames #4.  Inside the card is stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set: " May your birthday be filled with all the desires of your heart"...I love Dawn's script she has chosen...the one cursive word just adds that bit of elegance to the whole sentiment.  Can't you see sending this to a very special "Girl Friend"....I have several treasures in my life...how about you??

Stamp TV Sketch Spotlight 12

This was a fun sketch to follow..Gina K does a good job with her videos so it was very easy to follow.  I used the stamps from PTI Flutter by Friends and colored with pencils.  The inside of the card I stamped a birthday sentiment from the Heartfelt Basics, colored the butterfly from Flutter by Friends and cut it out.

Free Anniversary PTI Tag Download

I have another card that uses Melissa Bickford's Tag and also the Make It Monday's using the "Go to Sentiments" card.  I used a variety of sentiments saying hello, notes and just because...because I thought they all went with  the sentiment on the rainbow...a little note to brighten your day....all Papertrey stamps.
