2nd Card for the Fourth

I saw the bike from Pedal Pusher with fourth of July flags and stars in the basket and loved it...I do believe it was a "Betsy" card...anyway, I thought I would give my next card a try with that:
Card # 2
I die cut the bike off the page, then stamped it.  I hand cut the flag and star from an image in Vintage Picnic.  I selectively stamped the back three stringy's with stars (they are suppose to have cans for a wedding).  I was thinking...a lot of towns have a parade and the families decorate wagons, bikes, really anything...so here is my Fourth of July bike.  These cards are already on their way to my aunts to wish them a Happy Fourth and to let them know tha

All products are Papertrey,Ink
stamps:  Pedal Pusher, vintage Picnic, By the Numbers, Super Stars

Fourth of July cards

That time of the month to send off three cards to my aunts who all live in the Seattle area.  I looked at the Retro Sketches and decided to give it a try...so this is what I came up with:

Card # 1:

Really simple card...I die cut the 4 from white card stock, put the blue paper from Bazzill Basic Paper pack behind the number, then I used pure poppy for the base, but stamped a lot of stars all over it with versamark!  the sentiment is from Vintage Picnic.  so simple, so easy!

Festive Friday Challenge # 8 "Sweet" & Retro Sketches

I am playing along with the sketch from Retro Sketches # 63, which you can access HERE and also the Festive Friday Challenge which can be accessed HERE.  The trigger word for Festive Friday is "sweet"...so I pulled out this sweet little gingerbread (yummy!) and stamped him on kraft paper...I added the sweet little candy and put some rock candy stickles on the ends of the 'wrapper'...do you see the bit of smear?  Yes before it was dry and I was taking the picture, it fell face forward...darn...I am always too impatient to wait!

Retro Sketches # 23

The card is Aqua Mist, I stamped the center strip with the PTI Medallions in Hawaiian shores and simply chartreuse.  Hawaiian shores paper is used as a border for the medallion.  I took four squares from the Take Three die and stamped it first with the bitty dot stamp from Background Blocks in soft stone ink, then I stamped some of the small butterflies from Beautiful Butterflies.  The "hello" is from Heart 2 Heart # 4.

I took this sketch from HERE at Retro Sketches if you want to play along!
