CAS Christmas February ~ JOY

Welcome friends to another CAS Christmas February challenge.  Linda is our hostess and she is looking for JOY on her card this month!

I had this piece already made with clouds and embossed with the circle sitting in a box on my desk, but I don't know what it is called as I don't own it!  The JOY die is from Catherine Pooler Designs Winterhaven collection but the banner and rest of the sentiment is from Sunny Studios Little Angels set.  I colored her up with copics.

Go check out the rest of the design team as they have an amazing collection of JOY cards for your inspiration! And welcome our guest Claire from String Bows

Sunny Studios:  Little Angels

MFT:  cloud stencil

CPD: Winterhaven "Joy" die

Make It Monday # 143 ~ Modern Whimsy Style

Danielle Flanders showed some tips and guidelines in creating a modern whimsy style kind of card.

You can go HERE  to watch the video.

This is definitely NOT my style..but I gave it a go.

I thought perhaps the Lovely Layers would look a bit like a poinsettia so I embossed some of the layers and used vellum and sweet blush and some zing powder.

We might get some snow!!  It is in the low 20's and there are flurries just north of us!

Merry Monday # 80

Use Music or a Carol Inspired Card for this week's challenge over at Always Playing with Paper: Merry Monday ...a lot of fun cards the DT shared with us for inspiration!

I scored on both counts!!  I have music on the "joy" word and the song Joy to the World!!

I used some non-traditional Christmas colors with this card.

All products are Papertrey Ink

stamps:  Wonderful Words:  Joy, Masculine Motifs, Big & Bold Holiday Wishes

ink:  ocean tides, scarlet jewel

paper:  rustic cream, scarlet jewel

die:  heart border

Thanks for taking a look friends...have a super week!

Heart Hugs!
