Seize the Birthday ~ A favorite technique

Hi Friends!  Welcome to another Seize the Birthday Challenge!

Ashwini is hosting this challenge and she asked us to use our favorite technique on our Birthday card!  It just so happened I was on a craft retreat with some friends the last 5 days and we did a lot with stencils.

This was just one of the techniques we did!  We of course first ink blended the stencil and then we ran it through the die cut to emboss the image.  It is hard to photograph, but in real life you can see all the indents and dimension!

The stencil was from a friend's stash and I do not have a name for it.

The sentiment is from Pinkfresh.

The image reminded me of hot air balloons or just fun balls!

I thought it was very festive and would be fun for a birthday card!

Our Special Party Guest is Lorraine, check out her amazing card along with the other team members for more inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by!

Heart Hugs, friends!

My first thought was punching balloons. Remember those things with the rubber band that you punched back and forth? (or am I just really old....) Very pretty!!!

Love the stencil and all the pretty colors. It certainly does look like a birthday! I'm sorry I couldn't be there. It was not meant to be this year, sniff sniff.

Fabulous technique, Colleen! I haven’t tried embossing a stencil yet, must add it to my list. Reminds me of hot air balloons too.
