Wednesday nights are another Gina K video...so once again my BFF and I skyped Thursday morning and tried this fun technique that Gina K shared. You can watch the video HERE!
You use a solid image stamp and use white pigment ink, let it dry or dry with heating tool.
Then you start coloring! I tried to use two different shades of colors for both the leaves and the flowers. I used prismacolor pencils. Then I think the magic happens when you add touches of white pencil to the tips of the petals, it just highlights and makes them seem more real.
This is a Gina K stamp: With love and Prayers
the Hello die is WPlus9
the sentiment strip is from The Greetery
I had trouble coming up with solid images, but Linda reminded me about the Penny Black stamps that are slapstick cling and mostly solid...She actually gifted this one to me for my birthday...I love it and have used it a lot.

Well, that does it for me! Thanks for stopping and taking a look! I really did enjoy this technique and wonder how it would look on a dark blue or even a dark purple...I might have to give it another try! I am making these kind of cards so I can send them out to friends that I can't see right now because of the coronavirus. Although here in Oregon I think we have it under control, and it will stay that way as long as people don't come here from other states that are allowing businesses and travel to open up!
STAY HOME, STAY SAFE!
Heart Hugs, friends!

Beutiful job with the Black Magic technique. I haven’t done that in ages. I agree the white highlights really make them pop.
Stay home and craft on!
This gives the most dramatic looks to your cards. Another one I want to try.
WOW...you went to town with this technique too Colleen! Once again I feel like a slacker for only making one card! Like you though, I only had one Gina K image that was solid, but tell Lin thanks for the idea of using Penny Black stamps as I really do have a lot of those that would work!! But anyway, all your cards are beautiful and I can't wait to see what Gina has in store for us on Monday night...I missed her last night!! Take care! Hugs. :0)
You did an incredible job with this fun technique, Col! I can't wait to try it! I, too, have a lot of those slapstick comed, er, I mean stamps and some of them are on Mt. NBUS. Each of the images you chose is stunning and your coloring is wonderful! Take care and keep safe! Hugs, Darnell
Your virtual get together with Linda looks like it was very productive, Col! Wow! What a great technique and three gorgeous cards!
Wow what gorgeous designs Colleen.
Hugs Diane
