More Inspiration from Gina K

I mentioned that Gina K has three videos M-W-F...
This Monday it will be Merry Monday and she focuses on Christmas cards!
Wednesday is Whimsy Wednesday, her cards are pretty much all clean and simple.
Oh and she will often wear her PJ's to do the video!
Friday is Flashback Friday and today's cards are inspired by her and I just happen to have one of the stamp sets she used.
Her technique is called "Smackin' Acetate"  I think a lot of us have come to know it as "smooshing".
At least it seems that way to me...she puts her ink pads to an acetate sheet and spritz it with water and then lays down the watercolor paper to get her colors transferred.
The sentiment is from GinaK Peaceful Florals, but the image is from a very old set from PTI called Life.
This is a GinaK stamp:  With Love and Prayers
GinaK  Wild Blossoms

And this last card is made for a friend who just lost her Grandfather, who was 92 to the Covid 19 virus.  He lived in a senior home in Louisiana.  He was a vital part of her family and will be greatly missed.  I had the stamp out and so I thought of taping off a strip and doing some ink blending, but then I thought I would just gold emboss it and add pink flowers and keep it really clean and simple.

Today is mostly rainy, so after I got in a good 3.5 mile walk, I got started on these cards...I do have more backgrounds I can make more cards with.
Her videos are inspiring and she usually makes always two cards, but sometimes 3!
I had a friend who usually buys a lot of cards at Bible Study, but of course we are not meeting, so she asked if she could come and pick up 8 cards...sympathy and praying for you.  I set them out in a small trunk for her and she took them, we talked for awhile from a distance, but now I need to make a lot more of those same kind of cards.
Stay home and stay safe!

Heart Hugs, friends!

These cards are stunning, Colleen. I love the soft look of the smooshing and beautiful designs. I am going to watch Gina K's videos and thanks for sharing that. I sent my cards to hospice the same way, by letting my friend pick them up, then standing out in the yard away from the car talking to her. It lifted my spirits not only to help out but to see and talk to another human being in person.

More beautiful designs, Col! Love the backgrounds with the silhouette flowers that are so soothing! The pink flowers are uplifting and beautiful! Hmmm, I might need to go smoosh some...

Beautiful, beautiful cards Colleen! I played with Gina's Smackin Acetate technique too, but didn't post my cards. I've been making lots of sympathy and thinking of you cards too and sending them out...I hate having to send the sympathy ones out but am grateful to be using God's gift for good. Take care my friend!! Hugs. :0)
