CAS Christmas Card January Challenge ~ silver & blue

Welcome to 2019 and a new start to a CAS Christmas Challenge.  For January, Christine is our hostess looking for silver and blue on our Christmas cards.
You should have seen the mess and the pile I had trying to come up with something for this challenge.  I stepped away for a little while and when I came back, it all came together and nothing like what I had originally planned! ha ha, isn't that always just the case?
But I really love this card and so glad that it fell in my lap!

Now it is your turn to play with BLUE and SILVER and make a CAS Christmas Card!
See you in the gallery!

you certainly created a beautiful blue and silver card Colleen, it was worth all the mess:) walking away is the best approach.
I love the vibrant blue ornament and the offset silver and white card frame.

Beautiful blue ornament, Colleen! Love the graphic design-ish look. Off-setting the silver paper is a great idea, adding a fun movement! I often have the same kind of creative process you described too. :-)
Happy New Year!

I definitely know how that is when it just doesn't come together and then finally does. Yahoo. Beautiful card my friend.

You've got to love it when the card just falls together, Col! Isn't it fun when that happens! Love the pretty blue ornament and the sparkly piece at an angle behind it!

Yes, that's always the way! Sometimes you have to just walk away to see it come together. Boy, did it ever! Such a beautiful card, Colleen! Happy New Year!

what a great triple bulb ornament in the beautiful blue Colleen! the sparkle of the offset silver panel behind it is the perfect touch! I've had that happen where I'm trying and trying to get a design and it just isn't working - and like you said - walk away and come back with fresh eyes - and then something magical happens! xx

I do exactly the same thing Colleen, I start with an idea and gradually as I go along it morphs into something completely different..lol. This is very pretty though and I love the bright blue bauble mat backed with another mat in that silver glitter card and love that you have twisted it too, and the blue colour of the sentiment matches the bauble perfectly. x
