Festive Friday Challenge # 11

This challenge is an element Challenge and here is the element:

I had saved this really cool idea for trees from HERE  a couple of years ago.  I was intrigued by the trees.  She has a tutorial on her blog, so go visit and see how she made them...hers is more vintage and I kept mine more modern., but here is my card for this challenge, using trees!
Each tree starts out with a 3 x 3 piece of paper, scored at 1/2 inch and 1 inch, then I cut a scallop border using an EK Success border die.  I added some stars from a Verve die and used some PTI pattern paper for the background.  I embossed with red zing embossing powder my sentiment of "peace".  Calling it good folks!  I was away for 9 days in HOT Arizona, and then Saturday I leave for Oklahoma City...the difference is all in the humidity.  I think I may sweat off some pounds in OK!!
