Melissa Phillips demonstrated her technique of paper piecing...her favorite technique of all time...So I tried my hand at it and if you would like to do so go HERE to Nicholes blog and watch the video and get inspired!
I paper pieced a lot of purple shades of pattern paper. I stamped the 'violet' on all the colors of paper and then hand cut out the petals and glued them down. I adhered the violet with dots from HERE (Deanna Dean's blog Kloset Kreations) to a cardstock that I also cut out (haven't ordered the die for this set yet!).
I am going to enter this in the Cas-UAL Friday's Challenge also which is stamping on Designer Paper...you can access it HERE .
The stamps used are all from Year of Flowers: Violet
The paper is all Papertrey
The card is fine linen

Oh, this is SO beautiful! I was going to use this same stamp to play along with this challenge, but after seeing the wonderful card that you've created, I will do a different one. There's NO WAY mine would be as gorgeous as yours!
So pretty! And violets are my favorite flower and purple is my favorite color, so this is perfection to me ;)

Very nice, Colleen! It looks very like a quilt - fantastic! I've just seen the video and plan to go have a play with it as I do love paper piecing. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
