MIM Shadowing with Copic Markers

I finally got to play this afternoon and couldn't resist the technique by Danielle over at Capture the Moment for this weeks Make It Monday!

It is all about adding extra depth to your die cuts by going around the top and bottom edges with a copic marker.  Can you see mine?  It was V00,
I used the Big Hugs stamp and die set and also the flower blossom from Spring Woods.
My frame is PTI Cover Plate Frame Die,
This is Danielle's card:
 Keep cool...we had 100, 101 and 92 today...a little cooler (maybe) tomorrow!

Heart Hugs, friends!

  1. This is beautiful, Colleen! Great job shadowing your die cut and I adore the purples!!

  2. I love the look of the shadow. It does enhance the greeting. Everything on this card is lovely. The cover plate really makes the hugs the focal point and the flowers just add to the overall design. Gorgeous.

  3. Gorgeous, Colleen! Your shadowing added depth to the fun hugs font. Keep cool and keep crafting~

  4. Beautiful card. I love the shadowing and the frame is so pretty I've seen others use it.. I love it. Oh no more shopping :)

  5. What a CAS beauty this card is Colleen! Your shadowed "Hugs" came out perfect, and I love the purple flower blossoms and framing you did! Lovely, lovely card!! :0)

  6. Simply gorgeous and so well done. You really did the shadowing perfectly. I think I'd rather have 100 than our high for today - 55. :(

  7. Love your choice of colors on this - it's so soft and pretty looking.

  8. There's no such thing as too many hugs, is there? Great design, Colleen, and love the shadowed word die all framed up!

  9. This is so pretty Colleen! Love the added depth to your bold die! Super, Super card! WOW! Your temps are incredibly high!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a makes my day!
