SEIZE THE BIRTHDAY ~ SPRING FLOWERS

Welcome to a new Seize the Birthday Challenge! This challenge is hosted by the talented TaeEun and she is looking for Spring Flowers on our birthday cards!
One of the first that pops up here in the Pacific Northwest is crocus, daffodils and tulips.  I love them all, but maybe especially the tulips, there are so many fun varieties and the colors are just gorgeous!
Unfortunately, we have deer, and they love tulips as well!!
I planted 100 bulbs in a new raised bed and the tulips have popped out of the ground, but the deer have eaten them down, we are frantically putting up posts and fence (7 feet high) to see if we can keep the deer out of our garden.  I plan to do a lot of veggies this summer...so this is a must!

I used a Penny Black stamp called Blooming tulips.
The sentiment is from a PTI set called Spring Hills
I used Tombow Dual Brush pens on the stamp and then spritzed it with some water.

I made one more Tulip card!  The stamped images are from The Greetery; the background paper is a Gina K pattern paper that my friend gave me for my birthday and the stitched and background frames are Gina K Master Layout dies!

Come join us with your spring flower cards!
Check out all the inspiration from the design team and our Special Party Guest

Heart Hugs, friends!

Your tulips are gorgeous, Col! I love the tulips too, but never had a lot of luck growing them. Love the layout of the first card with the pink tulips! Love the yellow and purple too! Both are so pretty!

I love tulips too and once planted one hundred in my front yard. The spring was gorgeous and so exciting to see them all return each year. We didn't have the deer. Good luck with your veggies.

Love both of your card Coll and so sorry to read that the deer is eating your tulips. Good luck with the fence. I wonder if he realizes how much work he has caused. LOL Have a great weekend.
