Crafting with friends via ZOOM!

I had the fun and pleasure to do a zoom crafty meet!

We played with embossing folders!

I managed to make quite a few cards with the backgrounds made from the embossing folders.

First up a Darice leaf embossing folder.  On the raised side I inked up the leaves and spritzed with a mini mister, placed the paper in the folder and ran it through the machine.

This time I inked up the smooth side with different inks and ran it through the machine.

Now this might surprise you, but I actually used 4 pieces of toilet paper stacked on top of each other and ran it through the die cut machine.

The folder was a Sizzix 3 D embossing folder, it left a wonderful impression and the layers all stuck together!  I added a piece of silver paper to the back of it for a frame and embossed the sentiment with HA silver embossing powder.  I also spritzed it with silver glitter dust, but of course that doesn't show  in the photo!

Sorry this is so picture heavy!  I have two more cards made with embossing folders:

These two cards were made similarly.  On the smooth side I applied ink pad directly to the smooth side of the folder, then on the other side I applied two different color inks on the raised side, but careful to leave some without any ink.  Then I rubbed versamark over the areas and used a silver embossing powder to highlight them.  I framed the first one with a glitter paper and this one above I framed with a silver card stock.

Okay, that is it friends, thanks for hanging with me.  And if you would like to check out the other girls in the group who played along with embossing folders, you can see their cards HERE:

These are all wonderful Colleen! The cards look so different using different colors and whether it's the front or back of the embossing folder that gets inked. Your TP snowflake card came out so nicely with the embossing of those beautiful snowflakes - and the silver and blue on the ink embossed cards really makes you feel the cold winter- Brrrrrr! xx

WOW...you made a lot of cards too Colleen! I still have lots of backgrounds to make into cards, but have been so busy playing with other things that I get sidetracked! All of your cards are soooo pretty from the colorful leaf prints to the gorgeous tp card (CAS and just perfect!) and then your last two with the snowflakes and embossing powder that are just beautiful! Lovely, lovely cards my friend! Hugs. :0)

Wow! You had much better results than I've ever had with inking an embossing folder, Col! Guess I need to give it another try! Love your TP snowflakes that made such an elegant card! Your heat embossed dry embossing turned out fantastic too!

All your cards are wonderful Colleen!! LOVE the colours you've used on your first two leaf cards - so bright and beautiful! The third is gorgeous with done with yellows and I love your toilet paper card. :) So weird right??!! But looks amazing with the depth of the embossing. Your last two card with the snowflakes are gorgeous. Love the colours and the framing of both. It was a lot of fun getting together! Look forward to the 28th! xx
