Merry Monday with Gina K

I  am back with more Gina K inspiration and this time it is about Christmas cards!
On Monday nights she does an hour video making 3 or sometimes even 4 cards!
Since my BFF, who moved down here to Oregon from Washington to be with her triplet grandchildren, we have looked forward to getting together once a week to have a play date.
Well, what with the move and getting settled and helping babysit so the mom could work, we finally settled on Tuesdays to be our crafting day.
But now we have to do PHYSICAL DISTANCING!
So we do what we used to do when she lived in another state...we skyped and played for several hours.  We both watched the Gina K video and then we started following her directions.
I was lucky in that I had the Gina K Stellar Snowflake Stencil, so I just followed along and made two cards.  This one is with blues: Salty ocean and peacock feather DOX inks. the one below was with pinks and a lavender at the bottom

We used a brush and glue to paint in different sections of the snowflake and then added glitter!
Finally we even added some sequins to parts of the snowflake.

Since I had the stencil out, I thought I may as well use some Gina K Gold Glitz Glitter Gel:
and it sure has lots of shine to this cards!
I was on a roll, so I thought, well, I should try some Nuvo embellishment mousse: aquamarine!

And Coral Calypso:
Finally I had another stencil from Waverly: Damask Floral
This one I did add some glue and glitter parts of it, but ended up going over the whole thing with Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen
this one I simply added the Spectrum Noir glitter pen to all of it, it has a lot of shine and sparkle in real life!
So that was a fun day and productive for me with lots of new cards, some for Christmas, others to just send out...all CAS and easy to mail!
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look, I hope these pictures all stay up, because a couple of days ago after posting, I didn't have a picture, but a gray oval in its place...something going on with blogger, or maybe too many people on the internet?  I don't know!

Heart Hugs, friends!

I just posted the 2 I did and am feeling like a real slacker now after seeing ALL the cards you made! I get it though because it was such a fun and easy card to make that just really packs a punch! Lovely, lovely cards my friend! Hugs. :0)

What a beautiful batch of snowflake cards! I've saved that Gina K video as I really like the look of it so will definitely try the technique. Love all your cards, especially the blue ones. Ironic isn't it, that when you now live close enough to get together in person for your weekly craft dates, you now have to go back to your old method of Skype!

Wow,, Colleen, these are all beautiful. Thanks for telling me about the Gina K. videos. She is great and has wonderful ideas and a delight to watch. Very uplifting too. It's a shame you can't get together with Lin but thank goodness for Skype. You're still connected.

Your cards are all beautiful Col! I love the snowflake stencil. It looks so soft and pretty in blue and pink. The gold gel really shines and makes an elegant Christmas card. The mousse colours turned out wonderful as well. Simple, but such pretty designs. Your flourish stencils are also lovely. Looks like you and Lin had a fun and productive day! xx
