Making up for lost time

I saw some cards on Instagram by Sweet Kobylkin and fell in love with her designs. She has one of her cards on her blog, if you click on her name it will take you to it.  My good friend Loll had explained to me a while back about a new to me product: Stampendous Frantage chunky metallic seasonings embossing enamel and guess what?  Ksenija from Sweet Kobylkin used that on her card!
I tried it and was a little too heavy handed with the chunky enamel...live and learn!
See what I mean?  It would have looked so pretty if I had used it sparingly!  I fussy cut the flowers and border strip.
On this card I was following a Jennifer McGuire video on using labels and keeping the card a one layer.  The frame is an old PTI fillable frame that I masked, then I stamped the flowers above and below the frame, colored it, then took off the mask and made the frame and sentiment. She calls this" "Framed Stamping" and you can find it HERE.
I wanted to color one with pink and grays, so I made a strip at the bottom and did some fussy cutting.
I stamped the flower onto the pink cardstock with HA soft granite, I really like this gray and it works well when stamping the image on the envelope too.
This was actually the first card I made with this stamp.  I had cut a frame and wanted to use that with some selective coloring.  The frame is raised with some foam tape.

I do like strips of black stripes on cards, I think it is very striking I used it on both of these cards which was colored with copics.
Now you are probably wondering what is that stamp?
It is a Hero Arts stamp called Nasturtiums.

Thanks for taking a look while I just got to play in between naps and icing the knee.

Heart Hugs, friends!

Your nasturtiums are so pretty, Col! You have made good use of this stamp with so many different designs! I find that with the chunky embossing powder that I do better picking some up with my fingers. I have more control. I think the seasonings embossing is so pretty! Love the black striped trim too!

But I think it looks just perfect on your card Colleen...adds such a touch of glam to an already FABULOUS card! Really love your pink and gray card and the last one too!
