Water Reactive Coloring with Kimberly Crawford

I saw a technique at For Love of Paper by Kimberley Crawford and wanted to try it out.
She calls it Water Reactive Coloring with Distress Oxides

She has a video to explain how she does this, so you can go to her site and watch it.
I made two since I was doing it.  I have to say I did add a little white prismacolor pencil to the leaves to give a little more contrast.  I think I could have achieved that look by just going back and bringing out more of the color with my paint brush, but when it was dry, it was just easier to add a little white coloring.  It is important to use a lighter and darker color when you are sponging on the Oxide inks in order to get a contrast of the colors once you add water and blot out the ink.
This was a very elegant and fun technique, I hope you will go give it a try!

Heart Hugs, friends!
