Twofer Card challenge # 1 ~ Feathers

There is a NEW Challenge in town friends!  The TWOFER CHALLENGE! This is the brain child of none other than our fabulous Darnell!  Friends...take a stamp, any stamp and make a card!  Then using the SAME  stamp make another card for a totally different occasion.  Brilliant, isn't it?
We get to build up our stash and get more miles from our stamps!
The PROMPT word for this first challenge is FEATHERS!
I used a little feather from PTI Happy Trails. My first card was just a note, because a friend was looking for a card to send to an elderly aunt...just a 'thinking of you'...or...'just a note' kind of card.  I thought the ink splats reminded me of dipping a feather in the inkwell to write your note...okay, way before my time, but I have seen it in films!! *wink
My second one is obviously for a happy couple who are expecting a baby girl!  I took the sentiment from PTI Feather Finery. I stamped and then clear embossed and also did some second generation stamping.  I kept the design similar in both cards.
Thanks for stopping by and having a look...I think this is going to be a favorite challenge of mine!!
Please head over tot he Twofer Challenge blog and have a look at all the inspiring cards made by the design team...you will be blown away!!  Happy Friday!!

Heart Hugs, friends!

I think we're on the same wave length here Colleen as we both just posted for this challenge and we both did a "Just A Note" card...love it! Both of your cards are FABULOUS and I especially LOVE the Tickled Pink card...too cute and just perfect for someone expecting a little girl! And obviously I love having "Just A Note" cards on hand too, and yours is CAS perfection Colleen!! I'm really going to love playing in this challenge every month too!! Have a great weekend my friend!! :0)

Colleen, these are just fabulous feathered cards! You've created two really lovely and nicely done CAS cards, which delights me to no end! Love that stamp, and the colors you've chosen to use for your cards, and one thing that really captured my attention, is the ever-so-light gray inking around the edges of your 'tickled pink' card. It adds so much dimension and has a subtle way of drawing the eye to the center of your card. Thank you so much for joining us at the Twofer Challenge! Bev

I love both your CAS designs, Colleen. Even though your designs are similar your cards look very different. How clever to make your 2nd card feather looking like it is sitting in a flowery ink well. TFS my friend. Hugs

Great designs Colleen. That pink card is so pretty ... perfect to welcome a baby girl! And I love the Just a Note card with the feather and splat ... it does remind of an ink well. Well before any of our times! :) Thanks for playing along at Twofer Card Challenge. xx

Both of these are so cute. I do remember ink wells but did not write with a feather quill. That was before my time! I'm hoping to play in this challenge too, I've been looking forward to it. Thanks for all your support during this bout of being sick. This one got me but I'm on the mend.

Two sweet, sweet cards Colleen! I'm so in love with your tickled pink card. Just as sweet as can be and the ink splats at the end of the feather are just perfect. Both cards are winners!

Hi Collen, I just had to pop over to let you know how much I liked your twofer cards!!! I just love feathers and amazingly I don't yet own a feather stamp... eeek! Must fix that soon... :D anyway, I'm just getting my new blog up and running so I don't have a card up yet but would love to have you stop by sometime... Hugs for now from rainy/snowy New Hampshire!

Both cards are wonderful. I love the tickled pink sentiment and the feathers work great with it. And the note card is lovely too.

Thank you so much for the sweet shoutout of welcome for my Twofer challenge and for playing along, Col! I really appreciate it! Both your feather cards are incredible and beautifully executed! With the way you made your baby card with the twine, I think your designs do look like you meant them to be different ~ which is a good thing because stretching our design skills with two different designs is one of the objectives of the challenge! Well done!! Hugs, Darnell
