Danielle has a video up showcasing her Ink Blending over heat Embossing Technique.
Go check it out, she has a beautiful card!
I used the same Text Style II that she used and after heat embossing it, I sponged on some Bright Buttercup Ink.
The flowers are Vintage Linens stamped in Winter Wisteria, then sponged on a darker shade of royal velvet. The stems and leaves were also a two step process with first stamp of spring moss, then a darker shade of pinefeather sponged onto the stamp. (A technique that Betsy showed a couple of weeks back!)
I ended with a sentiment for Keep it Simple: Prayer for You
I really like this technique...mostly white space, but it adds a lot of dimension and some texture to the card. My card is actually the PTI fine linen adhered to a Winter Wisteria base.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!
Have a great day!
Heart Hugs!!

Beautiful work with the MIM technique Colleen. Love those colours together.
The texture of the linen cardstock comes through your flowers beautifully, Colleen. A very pretty effect on this lovely card.
very pretty card
Gorgeous Colleen! I have this set and only used it once. You've inspired me to pull it out.
Beautiful card. Love the bright flowers against the softer background. I loved the technique.
Colleen, this is so pretty using those flowers from Vintage Linens. I need to pull mine out and give it some love. It's been hiding for way to long. It makes me happy when I have the sets to re-create a card that inspires me.
Beautiful card...love your pretty purple posies!
This is so pretty. I love the inking over the embossing, it is so soft and subtle. It is time for purple flowers to bloom here in Indy. And every color as well.
So pretty! Love the purple and yellow!!
Purple and yellow have been a favorite of mine for eons (colors used in my guest bedroom decor for years), and your card is beautiful. Great job executing your ink blending and layout!
