I couldn't resist the new Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens
and they are the easiest water color pens to use!
Here is a sympathy card I made using the pens and an
Altnew stamp: Persian Motifs
I am entering this in the Live Love Cards Watercolor challenge.
I white embossed the images then used the water color pens, I used two for the flowers, yellow and lite carmine and used lite green for the leaves, but by going soft, I was able to pull some of the color and then add more for the shading. I outlined the image with a cobalt blue pen.
The sentiment is from PTI Think Big
Heading to Seattle for a 3 day Volleyball tournament for the
granddaughters, then I am staying 5 days with my BFF for some fun
stamping time!

Oh wow, Col. You nailed using these pens. Gorgeous flowers. I forgot to outline the background with some blue.
Oh this is just beautiful, so soft, elegant and cheerful! I'm dying to get my hands on those real brush pens but unfortunately current budget won't allow for it, grr. Hehe
This is SO pretty Colleen! I have been debating about these pens since I saw Jennifer McGuire's post, and I think you just convinced me! Love the stamp set you used for this card too...so soft and gorgeous! Have fun watching your granddaughters play volleyball and then enjoy your week with Linda...I'll look forward to seeing what creations you both come up with! :0)
Beautiful card! Your colors are very soothing -- perfect for a sympathy card. Nice job!
Hi Colleen, how are you. Hope you are fine!
What a great and beautiful card you made!!
I love that you go with your granddaughters to their events. Those are memories you and they will always have. This is a beautiful card. I have been on the edge of those Zig brush pens and I think you just pushed me over the edge. Do you think the 24, 36 or 48 set is the best. Do I NEED all the colors. Or are 12 enough? Have a great time with your BFF.
The colors are so vibrant. Very pretty card. They remind me of the inktense pencil colors.
Gorgeous soft colors with the pretty flowers for your lovely card! Hope you had a great time at the volleyball tournament and fun crafting time with your friend!:)
Colleen, I love the pretty blue highlights you added to the background. The single strip of orange really makes the flowers stand out. Great job!
What a lovely card, the colors are soft yet vibrant and cheerful, there is something about yellow flowers, they bring a smile to your face every time.
Love the scattered sequences, what a lovely detail.
Thank you for sharing your card on LiveLoveCards.
Many paper hugs.
Maria.
