Washi Tape is all the trend...and the Moxie Fab Blog is having a card challenge each day and this day was designated WASHI TAPE day! I immediately thought of the easter egg die and decided to layer a lot of strips of the tape on white paper and then die cut. Then inspiration hit when I remembered a site from several years ago that I ran across where she made a pot and had it filled with flowers. Go HERE to see the original post titled: Flower Pot Pocket Card...by Stephanie Luman, she gives all the directions and a picture tutorial for making the pot.
I made my card just a tad bit wider, but kept everything else the same. I ran it through the cuttlebug using a cane impression plate to give the effect of a wicker basket. I used 1/8 inch score tape to adhere the sides of the "pot".
And here is the card that slips inside the 'pot'. The sentiment strip on the face of the pot also has a washi tape above and below it!
This was a very fun card to make and I think it will be a real joy for one of my aunts to get this card and pull out the eggs to see that I am sending a "basket full of love" to her!
