CAS Mix Up July Challenge + Just Us Girls Challenge

Oh WOW, have you been to the CAS Mix Up July Challenge yet?
You better get over there and see the technique and very cool cards made by Bonnie, Loll and the rest of the design team.  As soon as I saw Loll's video showing how she even used embossing powder after painting on the tissue paper (yes, you heard me right, TISSUE PAPER!!) I knew I wanted it to be a water background with "white caps"  *wink * wink!
The above card was actually the second card I make, kind of learned from the first!
But both are birthday cards, the one below is for my granddaughter who turned 16 TODAY!!
The above card is for my SIL!
Ellie's favorite color is teal, so I colored with my zigs the whole girl and floatie!
It is hard to see in the picture, but I coated her bathing suit with glossy accent...you know because she just jumped on the floatie from the water and is all wet...also there are numerous water drops on her body and the floatie from drops of the glossy accents. In real life it looks very cool (IMHO!)
This was very fun friends!
I stamped, I used tissue paper and I water colored and fussy cut the image out
(somehow I didn't purchase the die cuts, but it was a pretty simple one to cut by hand)!
I hope you will go check out the videos and play along.
And while you are at it, how about playing along with Just us Girls which is a Word Challenge and the word is "CELEBRATE" !  We are definitely celebrating the Sweet 16 birthday of Ellie!
Have a beautiful Sunday!!
stamps:  MFT:  Pure Innocence: Fun in the Sun, PTI: Make a Wish
Hero Art Dies:  Infinity Nesting Rectangle Dies (for the frame)
Distress inks salty ocean, mermaid lagoon, peacock feathers

Happy birthday to Ellie and that is the cutest card for her. I love the whitecaps you created. Her swim suit is so cute! I'm doing alcohol inks this weekend I learned from Loll. I still want to try the tissue paper too and hope it comes out as great as your card. Have a fun 4th weekend.
