Merry Monday # 237 Shimmer and Sparkle

Nina has a beautiful photo inspiration for us this week at our Merry Monday Christmas Challenge...it has so many possibilities I had to make two cards!

I am definitely a CAS kind of girl, so I was drawn to this clean and simple card with lots of white.  I am showing you the second picture so you can see all the shimmer on the trees. I used the Spectrum Noir Sparkler pen and boy does it put a lot of shimmer on the card.  I had a roll of this shiny tape...no name, but it had a plastic backing to it that allowed me to even die cut the JOY word and then peel off the backing and stick it on.  I used Pretty Pink Posh sequins...clear and silver.  The trees are from a Verve set called Jolly Jingles.

I wanted to show you the same layout but in gold...
It really is difficult to get a good picture with the shimmer, these trees I colored in with my Zigs and when it was dry I went over it with the shimmer pen.  The sentiment was stamped with Delicata Gold ink and added PPP gold sequins.
Okay that is it for me!  which one do you like?
I showed my husband and asked him, he preferred the one with color on it and he also thought I should make the sentiment stand out more...too late now, but perhaps embossing it with gold is something he would like better.
I hope you are intrigued and will go check out the designers and see what they made for your eyes!  I hope to see your card in the gallery!!
Heart Hugs, friends!

I'm always in awe of how different cards made with the same stamp can look. These are perfect examples and both are stunning.

Two beautiful cards Colleen. Isn't is amazing how just changing up a few details creates a totally different look??!! :) Great job! I really think they are both gorgeous, but being a CAS girl myself, the silver one really speaks to me. xx
