Merry Monday revisiting some favorites

Did you read at Merry Monday we are taking a week off, but are asking you to share your favorite Christmas card from this past year.  I thought I would join in and share a couple of my favorite ones.  First is the one above, I love that sweet church scene with the trees glistening in the snow and the full moon that highlights the cross. This is a Power Poppy stamped called "O Holy Night"
And I couldn't resist adding one more of my favorites.  The challenge was to make a card with Santa's sack.  I decided to just color in the sack filled with toys and leave the rest plain.  I needed to highlight the sack to draw your eye to it for the challenge. This is a Serendipity stamp called "Santa in chimney".
To add your card to this weeks post go HERE and share it with all of us!
Thank you for playing along again...See you all next year!  *wink

Merry Monday # 226 Winter Fun

We only have one more week after this one for our Merry Monday Christmas Challenge,
then we will all be taking a break to enjoy the time with family and friends.
I hope you will join us for these two challenges!
Lori is looking for a winter fun activity on your card!
I remember when we would get snow, sledding was the most fun thing to do...and I lived in Seattle as a young girl, so lots of hills to go down!
And even after moving to Oregon didn't change the landscape...still lots of hills and so much fun sledding with our own children and even grandchildren!

CAS Watercolour Challenge ~ December

This month the CAS Watercolour Challenge is challenging us to use a resist technique with our watercolor.
I stamped some snowflakes and added brusho, I like how this turned out!
I even added some snowflakes to the girls shirt and then used zigs with water to spread the color around.

MFT: Ice Skater, PTI What the Doodle: Snowflakes, Decora: Merry Christmas
PTI: Noted Scallop die Collection
Brusho: ultra marine
Zig to color the girl

MIM # 269 Embossed & Outlined Backgrounds

Welcome friends, I have a card for this week's MIM which was a fun one to do, you can see Betsy's video HERE.  This card was made using PTI Peaceful Poinsettia.  The sentiment is from Wet Paint: Holiday. This was actually my second card for this challenge.  Below is my first card, but when I held it up and asked my husband what he saw, he replied, "catterpillars"!  WHAT???  so then I sent the picture to my BFF and she said "Christmas cactus".  Clearly I didn't want to post this, because it is suppose to be holly leaves, but I think your eye is drawn to the green and then I agree it does look 'weird', which is kind of why I brought it to my husband in the first place.  If you focus on the white you can see holly leaves...so this one is NOT going anywhere!  Ha ha!
You win some, you lose some...back to the drawing board!

Just Us Girls Challenge # 372 ~ Christmas Trees

This could have been our Christmas tree if we had cut it down today because  we got snow!!  But it is gone now!  It didn't last very long.  Sure was pretty coming down though!
This is a Tim Holtz stencil...a two layer so I could sponge on some distress ink, then added Distress Grit-Paste on the top layering stencil...so pretty, then I smeared a bit under the trees too, just because they needed to be grounded!
My sentiment is from Concord & 9th O Christmas Tree.
This card is for Just Us Girls Challenge # 372, they are looking for Christmas Trees.

Merry Monday with Candy Canes # 225!

Hi Friends!
I hope you will join us at the Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge because we only have two more after this one to help you get your cards completed before Christmas!
Our theme was chosen by Linda this time and she is looking for CANDY CANES!
I masked off part of my card and sponged on some pinks for an ombre look.  Then I took some smaller stamps (holly and berries) from the SOA Candy Cane Lane and stamped over the sponged background.  I die cut two canes and a bow for the card.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set!

Make It Monday #268: Double-Layer Tags

So happy to see Dawn back creating, if only for a short time.
I know she is going through her own health crisis now and praying a solution and decision can be made that will help her to heal.
I used the Tags # 8 for my double Layers.
My bottom layer was a piece that I had made from an MIM a while ago where I brushed on two colors in opposite directions to give it a linen texture look.  My What the Doodle: Ornament was die cut from a scrap piece of water colored paper.

Thanks for stopping and taking a look!
