MIM with Perfect Pearls!

Lizzie has a video over HERE showing a great use of Perfect Pearls..go check it out.
I used Harvest Berries and added several different perfect pearls to the leaves.
A neighbor has about 9 of these in her yard, and they are just starting to turn color.  These are gorgeous trees in the fall.
I wanted to show you the side view so you could see all the shimmer from the perfect pearls.  I stamped the image with a rock n roll technique to get a couple of colors on the leaves, then I wiped the stamp clean and reinked with versamark...of course I used my Misti to stamp these!!  The I added the perfect pearls with the paint brush. I used 'forever green', perfect gold, perfect copper and forever red.  I stamped the sentiment with simply chartreuse, then I selectively stamped it again with versarmark ( I covered up some of the words with tape before stamping with versarmark) and then putting some perfect copper over the "Remember" word. This is such a beautiful card with all the shine to it.  My Dad's sister turns 92 this Friday, I think I will send it to her, she is such a sweet and caring lady!
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great week!
Heart Hugs!!

Merry Monday ~ Christmas Lights and Glitter

I won this cute little rubber snowman stamp several years ago.  It is a Sweet November stamp.  I thought it would be perfect for this Merry Monday Challenge which is to have Christmas lights and glitter!

I used a silver glitter jelly roll pen on each of the light connections and added some WOS on the lights!  For his hat and snow hills I used a glue pen and Hero Arts prisma glitter.
I colored with copics.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.  I hope you all have a great week!!
My Dad is going to be released from the Care Center tomorrow.  He is doing really well, but still a bit unsteady on his feet.  His plan and hope is to be able to stay in his home...we will see, he is 94, I don't blame him for wanting to stay in his own home.
On another side note, my husband was in ER three times since last Thursday...kidney stones!!  Why do they always flare up in the middle of the night?
The first time it was 2:15 am Thursday morning, then 2:00 am Saturday morning (with NO pain in between that time!). And we were there for 6 hours each time to get his pain under control!
At 4 am Sunday morning, he drove himself to the ER without waking me up!!
He was feeling very guilty about me sitting in squeaky uncomfortable folding chairs in the ER!!  He didn't actually go into a room, the ER nurse kept checking on him in the lobby, he had taken two pain pills but was afraid it wouldn't be enough to relieve the pain, but after one hour, his pain was gone, he drove home, climbed into bed and I was none the wiser!!
Yesterday he had a migraine and boy was that bad...this ordeal is not over...side effects with taking pain meds.  He is being a trooper though I have to admit!!
Wish me luck!!

Seize the Birthday with a Pocket card!

Welcome to another Seize the Birthday Challenge!
Today we are challenging you to make a card with a pocket!
About a month ago, one of the Make it Monday Challenges was a Camouflage Pocket card that Dawn made and you can go there to watch the video.
I played along with the challenge and when I saw we needed a pocket card for this
Birthday Challenge, I decided to give it another go...
I covered my card base with some pattern paper from the PTI "Hooray" collection.
The pocket piece was cut from the Beautiful Brushstrokes collection.
The balloons are a die cut from SSS Balloon collection (5 dies in total)
I sponged coordinating colors on the balloons to give it a two tone effect.
Here is the inside!

We look forward to seeing you play along with the challenge of making a pocket card:

Merry Monday ~ Frame It!

Merry Monday Challenge is looking for Christmas Cards with a frame on it!
I really jazzed up this frame, first I stamped the frame with Lawn Fawn's Woodgrain Backdrop, then I sponged on some vintage photo distress ink, but after I did that I thought it would look good in gold, so I went over the whole thing with gold Wink of Stella!!
My Amaryllis is a W Plus 9 stamp colored with some watercolor inks and also some zig real brush inks.  The gold embossed sentiment is from Paper Smooches:  A Blessed Christmas.
I always buy an amaryllis bulb at Christmas time, they are so beautiful!

My Dad is being transported to his Rehab care center, so I am going to head out now and make sure he gets checked in okay and is happy!

MIM ~ #227 Focal Clusters

The picture in my head turned out better than the actual card...does that ever happen to you?  I pulled out an old favorite of mine called Fall Elegance.
I really wanted the pumpkins to be sitting on top of a pile of leaves, didn't quite achieve that, but it is what it is.
The sentiment along the side is from the Tiny Treats:  Halloween, you can see I also used the die from Embroidered Borders.

I like the clustered look, I may try this with some Christmas cards!

My 94 year old Dad had a fall last Monday.
He climbed into a raised bed to pull out his last tomato stake.
Well the stake broke and he fell backwards out of the one raised bed, and landed on his left flank onto another raised bed.
We got him to the hospital and it was a cracked rib.
He came home and my brothers and I were nursing him.
He was in a lot of pain by Friday, so back to the ER, admitted him, and he is still there.
We were hoping he would get transferred to a skilled nursing facility, it hasn't happened yet.
Maybe tomorrow.
I am worn out!

The Moose is Loose over at Merry Monday!!

What a catchy little subtitle for the new
Only problem is I don't own a moose stamp!!

This cute little moose is from here, the Eureka stamps!
I had to look for a digi so I could play along.
I thought she was pretty cute all decked out in a santa hat, scarf and stockings (that was my clue for he being a 'she'..*wink)
I colored her with copics, added some wink of stella and some irRESISTible white pico embellisher to the ball and trim of the hat.

 Thanks for stopping by!

Create Along With Us ~ October 2015

what a good idea to have this in place of the MIM!
I am so excited to see Kay Miller as a designer with PTI,
so it was not a surprise that I would be drawn to her card and CAS it!
I used the house from Winter Hills that I colored with copics and fussy cut.
The trees are from Background Basics:  Evergreen
the sentiment is from Think big #20
I sponged on some distress ink on the background and the hill is from one of the Scene It's.
Here is Kay's:

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look !
I hope you all have a wonderful week, we are still in nice summer weather here in the PNW!

Merry Monday # 174 Coffee Theme!!

I am honored to be a guest designer for Merry Monday
this time because I was the winner for this post.
Thank you very much for selecting my card!

Okay, I have to be honest here, I am NOT a coffee drinker...GASP!!
so No coffee stamps for me, and boy are there a LOT of coffee mugs and stamps out there in blogland!  I had to really put on my thinking cap, even browsed through a lot of digi stamps and really didn't come up with one I could work with.
Then a friend reminded me about the cup in PTI's Tremendous Treats:  Christmas!!
LIGHT BULB moment!
I had just received my September PTI release package and I had the new "IN THE BAG"...
so I immediately started going though my Christmas papers and this is what I came up with:
My daughter helped me out with the prop by loaning me a "Starbucks" gift card!!  *wink*
Because the coffee cup had a snowflake on it I decided to look for a snowflake paper for the background...I am using a paper pad from My Mind's Eye called "Merry Little Christmas".
The sentiments on the 'gift bag' are from the In The Bag set as well as the "hand" holding the gift bag...(notice she has a sparkly bracelet on her wrist!!)
I colored the cup with copics as well as the "Just for You" sentiment and I also selectively cut out that sentiment.

Thanks for taking a look and I thank all the designers from Merry Monday for honoring me with being the guest designer!  Every week I am so inspired by your Christmas cards!!
