Merry Monday ~ Sentiment as focal point and NBUS!!

Merry Monday
asks for a focal sentiment on the face of the card...what could be better than a GREAT BIG MERRY!!  This stamp was purchased a year ago from Damask Love and never been used  (which allows it to qualify for my last card in Darnell's NBUS CHALLENGE!!)...so I white embossed it on water color paper.  Really put on a lot of water and paint (distress ink),  Then I took a piece of saran wrap and crinkled it up and pushed it into the paper with ink, I let it sit until it was fairly dry and gently lifted it up...it does give lots of lines and textures and shading.
I found a "Christmas" that was the right size and white embossed it on green paper.

Thanks for taking a look friends!
Have a great week!!
Heart Hugs!

  6. I've never used plastic wrap but I love the look of it on the card. It just added some great texture and is very subtle. Pretty font on the Merry.

  8. WOW...what an eye catching card Colleen!! Love that background! I had never heard of using the plastic wrap the way you described (I had always scrunched it up and then dabbed it on my ink pad and then dabbed it on my cardstock), but I really like the watercolored look the way you did it....absolutely beautiful result!! :0)

  9. How beautiful is this! Very Stunning and love the background. I have heard of bubble wrap, but not plastic wrap. Will have to try this technique out. Very Creative.

  12. Love that background! I know--WAAAAY in the back of my mind--about using plastic wrap with watercolor. But I have never thought to do it! This is so cool, though. Great way to show off your greeting. Tfs! ~ Andrea
