Fusion # 3 and Casual Fridays # 99

cfc99
Okay folks, I am giving a try to TWO challenges...let's see how I did.  First up is CAS-ual Friday's Birthday Bash...no problem,I can handle that.
Next up is this FUSION challenge where you can take one challenge on the left, or take from  the challenge on the right...OR you can FUSE them together and use both challenges.

This is what I came up with:
What I saw for the FUSION challenge was something that looked like a flower, but I didn't want to use a flower, so I looked at the other challenge and I saw black, white, some gray and of course the bright fuschia color...which I used raspberry fizz, the brightest hot pink I had.  I decided to combine the two and used my pinwheel stamp from Stamps of Life.  You can see I managed to get some black and white stripes on the card, then the pinwheel in place of the flower...AND the sentiment of course lends itself to the CAS-ual Fridays Birthday Bash Challenge.  BTW, can I just make a comment about CAS-ual Friday stamp set that several people used?  I don't get the "amazeballs"...can someone explain it to me?

I don't know what the amazeballs stuff is either, so I'm with you on that! I love your adorable card here. The pinwheel is a fantastic idea, and I love it in the pink patterns. Love how you added the black stripes, and that lovely sentiment. Thank you so much for joining our Fusion challenge this week. ;-)

Oh, my, Colleen, I am really chuckling here. I so totally don't get the amazeballs either! I can just see some 14-year-old kid making it up, tho, just popping out with it, like so many slang words come to be. "Oh, dude, your belt is, like, amazeballs!" It's the "balls" that throws me and puts me off. I like to embarrass my son by using hip lingo, but I'm not using that one! Oh, and I hope you laughed at my use of the word "dude," which kids prolly don't use any more, and my use of the word "belt" because kids don't even know what that is these days!

Okay, so I came here coz I saw your card (No. 1!!) at Fusion and I think it is adorable! I love, love, love pinwheel cards and this one is uber ama- ... cute!!

Love this, and such a good idea to use a pinwheel instead of a flower. Your paper piecing is fab :)
