Festive Fridays - Element Challenge ~ Snowflakes

The challenge this week is to use a snowflake in the card!  I took the Damask Snowflake die from PTI and made a mask, then I stamped all around it using all the little snowflakes I could find from about 4 different stamp sets.  I filled in with snowballs from the In the Meadow set.  I then used a sponge dauber to add both the aqua mist and sweet blush around the edges of the Damask snowflake, when I pulled off the mask, this is what I saw!  It is really hard to see, but I added a Sakura gel pen to just about every part of each snowflake and snowball on this card.  In real life it is full of sparkle!

Want to give this challenge a try? Go here and make a snowflake card for your Christmas stash!  You will be so glad that you got a big jump start on them.

Great to see you back with another beautiful creation, Colleen! Such a great Idea to use the large snowflake as as mask! I love your color choices, too, and how the sponging softens everything and brings it all together!!! Such creative stamping/inking here...great job, and thanks for sharing with us once again!

Ok, so the message above from Colleen is actually me. I am visiting her and we have to sign in and out of goggle to get our own accounts up, but I forgot. Same for the previous post comment.

Oh, I imagine this looks even more stunning in real life! I love the idea of using the die as your mask, and I love the background it created. And adding sparkle to all those flakes? That's patience! This is beautiful, and I am so glad to see you joining us again!
